It's a squad game it's as simple as that but you have to win games of football at the same time. Now Guly do Prado is a great professional and he's shown that in training so that's good. He's willing to learn and be part of a squad. He's come over from Serie A where the style of football is different, to a different culture but listen he's starting to adapt now and give Nigel Adkins selection problems so that's good. He's loving being part of Southampton football club but who wouldn't? It's a great club. Ultimately though we want to win the division and if Guly can help us win games then great, it is after all about winning games of football - it's as simple as that.

My sister is a solicitor and part time as well working three days a week. She has Mondays off anyway and isn't entitled to claim any time due to the fact that most Bank Holidays fall on a Monday. Obvioulsy having a vested interest she's looked into this a fair deal and as it stands there's no obligation on the employer to provide any TOIL to part time employees who wouldn't normally work on a day that a bank holiday falls. As long as you're providing the statutory amount of holiday then it's up to the firm. It's a tricky situation because of course if you're a part time worker who normally works Mondays then you'd have a disproportionate amount of time off compared to your other part time counterparts. Anyway the upshot is that no one has ever brought this to court and there's no precedent for it so firms are left to figure it out for themselves.

I am indeed pleased about this - it's another chance to get all the royals together in one place.

Anyone going to watch this? It's a bit of a non-contest for me. Harrison has consistently proved himself to have no bottle and I hope Haye comprehensively out boxes him and then floors him. I think it's a travesty that Harrison has actually got a title shot at all.

About 150 pages into "Count of Monte Cristo". At 1300 pages and 170 years old it's a bit daunting but actually it's really easy to read and it rattles along at a fair pace.

Comparing one manager in the same division with another? yeah that's crazy talk for sure......come on at the start of the season we were dead certs to go up and we all believed it. I still believe we have the squad to do it - they showed that last season. So what's changed? getting rid of the manager would explain it but keep your head in the sand if you must....

Under pardew defeat against MK Dons wouldn't have been acceptable, a home draw against colchester wouldn't and neither would a draw against Yeovil. It shouldn't be acceptable under Adkins either.

Well to be honest I think this should be named what is wrong with this forum? The majority of saints fans I know in real life aren't totally ****ed off and they're not slashing their wrists. They're not boycotting and they're not refusing to listen to the radio because it's "too painful". They're also not calling for Lambert to be shipped out either. Then again neither did they join in the grief fest after Markus died - have you all got over your diana moment yet?

If you want a list of why he might fail, try this: He's only managed at one professional league club. he's not experienced the kind of pressure and expectation at Scunny that he will get here He's not a "name" that will get the fans excited and so he needs to prove himself quickly He won't immediately command the respect of the dressing room Of course he may be able to overcome those obstacles - I hope he does. It's not moronic to poin them out though.

If we were talking about playing style I'd certainly agree with you about Megson. There's no guarantee about whoever we appoint though. It just annoys me when anyone who suggests that Adkins might not be the right appointment is labelled a loon. At least you can be sensible about it. I'm sure there are posters who have done that. Just as there are posters who suggest that Adkins is the only choice we have and is practically the new messiah. Neither are true.

Well it's only my opinion but I feel that Mowbray, Brown or even Megson would be better suited. They all come with baggage of course and none are perfect but they all have a similar record to Adkins in that they've had promotions and then relegations due to lack of resources. That's only my opinion though - it doesn't make me a moron or arrogant, just that I disagree with you.
