  1. Is anyone else really annoyed at not just the advert but the fact that everyone says simples all the time? It's not even a proper word and is getting close to "wassup" irritancy levels. Also why is the meercat probably Russian and almost certainly east european? It doesn't make sense.
  2. Simeon Jackson, David Connelly, Sam Vokes? All would be good. Personally though I'd have have another Bristol Rovers player....let's face it they'll be happy as they win more games when they sell their best players to us and we'll be happy because they tend to have good players. This time round I'd like to quadruple the players wages though - just because we can......
  3. He had a box so always did pay for his ticket...
  4. Sorry mate, it's going to be a work do.... Ah but I plan to get drunk on their champagne, rage against the machine and eventually get thrown out for being too working class.....I'll wave to the proles as they eject me (probably after Lambert's third goal).
  5. What's it like? Bloke at work has won 4 tickets for the game tomorrow so I'm joining the prawn sandwich brigade for one game only. Think we're in the Terry Paine suite. To be honest corporate hospitality has never really appealed but I thought it'd be good to try it for once (and it's free)....for the record I would have been going anyway though.
  6. I'm happy enough with that. Looks like it's got a bit of fight in it and Mills should be able to give a bit of width. Given the injuries it's probably the team I'd have gone with.
  7. I thought it ironic that you spend most of your time slagging off players and then tell everyone to shut up and enjoy the ride. Did you not understand the contradiction in your post and your posting history?
  8. Well you must know the answer - ask a question yourself. Get down there and do it, or email it in. It's not hard is it? Granted it's easier to have a pop at the ones who did but I'm sure with your intelectual (sic) ability you'd be able to manage that wouldn't you?
  9. I think you may be putting your own spin on things here. He never said he was keen to see McLaggon play - he said he hadn't seen him (and to be honest sounded like he'd barely heard of him). He gave no indication of the players he wants to loan out either, just that he wants to get some out. Personally I'd agree that some of the questions were not the ones I would have asked but they were obviously important to the people who asked them - it's a little rich calling them interlectually (sic) challenged when you can't spell intellectually though isn't it?
  10. And you'd agreed to shut up if we won...yawn indeed! What are you moaning about now? Nappy soiled?
  11. I guess this thread is here to give the people who'd normally moan about not winning something to talk about? I didn't go today but I think he's a god - seeing as how the OP started this thread without seeing him either I'd say my opinion is equally as valid....
  12. Of course I can see the significance. I'm suprised given your pessimistic posts that you can though....surely you can find something to moan about? Saturdays just wouldn't be the same....
  13. Not if you're alpine.......anything less than a 10-0 win is a disgrace. NO EXCUSES (special mention to delldays there)
  14. Is it stating the bleeding obvious to say we need a third, and not to concede?
  15. It's true - Pardew has explicitly said to the players that the absolute maximum number of goals we should score in any game is one. Yawn!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  16. Bloody hell, you must be a coach or something! Surely you've played "at the top level before"?
  17. I don't really have a sophistcated argument for this and i don't think it needs one - either you believe in the death sentence or you don't. No amount of justification on either side will sway the other. Personally I don't believe in it. Somoeone once wrote (I'm not sure who) that you shouldn't expect the state to carry out something you wouldn't be prepared to do yourselves and I couldn't kill someone in cold blood. I'm sure there are many here who would claim they could do that job without hesitation and possibly they could. I would say being brave behind a keyboard is entirely different to actually murdering someone but that's just me. I'm glad we don't have a death penalty here.
  18. It was mostly 4-3-3. Wallace and Le Tiss wide with one up front (most of the time Rideout). Rideout actually came out and said he preferred playing with a conventional striker and cited it as one of the reasons he left.
  19. You got that wrong. It's Don't blame it on Hamann, Don't blame it on Biscan, Don't blame it on Finnan, Blame it on Traore. He just can't, he just can't, he just can't control his feet... Now there can be no excuses for getting simple chants wrong. NO EXCUSES AT ALL. I'm not advocating your removal from this forum BUT THERE CAN BE NO EXCUSES for this fundamental error. The time for experimenting with google and cut and paste has gone, any complaint about "gelling with the internet" has long since past it's sell by date. NO EXCUSES!
  20. Well this is all quite fun! Personally I'd play him on the right and despite asking the question a few times no one has suggested a better alternative - until they do I'll continue to want him in the starting XI. He may not be as good as the hype and he probably shouldn't take corners (that should be a coaching issue though and not a criticism of the player - unless he bullies the other players and they're scared of him). Besides which I still think he's one of the few players capable of something - granted he doesn't always do it but at least he can try. On the right we've only really got 3 other candidates that I can see - James, Thomson and Waigo. Two of those don't seem to me to offer the same threat and Waigo possibly might but I get the impression he's thought of as more a striker. If Waigo proves to be the man in that position then I'll agree though.
  21. If you look at the defence of AL on this thread then there doesn't seem to be too many people suggesting he's a world beater - just a good player with the potential to be much much better. You appear (whether you want to or not) as being overly critical - that's what you were being called up on. As I've said before the team does lack creativity so in the absence of anything better it's worth supporting AL isn't it?
  22. Yep, congratulations to AL. He should really have done better saving the goal we conceded and it was disappointing not to see him beat the entire Charlton team twice before lobbing the keeper from 60 yards. Until he does that week in / week out he'll remain the weak link in our team though.....
  23. Cheers! Nice to hear we did OK against a top side in this division and good to hear from someone who went to the game. Meanwhile in interweb world people are slashing their wrists.........
