What was the issue with tickets? I ordered mine online on Wednesday and received them in the post on Friday?
-
Didn't realise we'd have to wait until the week before to order tickets. I made my young brother move the date for his 21st party so hoping don't sell out before then :-/
-
Coming down from Glasgow for this one and taking my brother along for his first Saints experience. Really looking forward to it.
-
Any idea what kind of allocation we get and if we are likely to sell out? Doesn't look like tickets are on sale yet but hoping to come down from Glasgow for this one
-
After a poor start he settled in well and made a few good claims under pressure. Looked assured and did what was required of him. Also worth noting how comfortable the defence looked infront of him. Our next game may be the one that proves the doubters wrong as he'll undoubtedly be far busier than he was yesterday.
-
Surely against a team like Arsenal he'd be far more valuable in the middle of the park. Davis played right back on occasion for Rangers, perhaps he'll be there instead.
-
Glad Boruc is in... Cork at RB though??
-
Celtic have found Wanyama and Ambrose by looking at African nations for players... No reason we can't do the same. I'd rather take a chance on someone like that - much in the way Celtic have done - than sign a guy who isn't any better than what we have already.

The Southampton Goalkeeping Crisis Flowchart
SFC Chris replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
Did Boruc have a thing with your missus or something? Of course he has a poor attitude, doesn't mean he's not a good goalkeeper. -
Find it hard to believe that people are writing off Boruc after only one or two appearances. Could he have done better against Spurs? Dunno I wasn't there... but did we really expect him to hit the ground running after being out of action for months? When he first came in we knew he was a lunatic but that doesn't mean he isn't a top goalkeeper. For me, the club has two choices - either play him or release him. There's no point in hanging an inexperienced young goalkeeper out to dry when he is low on confidence if you have an experienced international goalkeeper sitting doing nothing. There is little doubt in my mind that the Holy Goalie will get the nod on Saturday and will retain his place from hereon in. PS. Gazza will be a good goalkeeper given time and assuming he doesn't loose all confidence by being left in the team when he should be taken out. NA is a smart man and I trust him to do the right thing.

Glad to hear Butterfield and Seaborne played so well. If either of these two play for the club again I may have to reconsider my allegiance
-
Every time Fowler opens his mouth he's telling us Butterfeet has given the ball away. Why he was retained is an absolute joke
-
Delighted with this... Boruc was always a favourite of mine when he played for Celtic. Went off the rails to a degree during the latter part of his time in Glasgow but seems to have got his mind back on football again. Would expect him to be number 1 sooner than you think. He'll have kept himself fit and would have been training with somebody since he got released.
-
Not sure Davis would be anything more than a squad player to be honest. Has played out wide for Rangers but, by all accounts, far better in the centre. Have watched him numerous times and never thought he was a particularly good player, coming off a poor season also. Squad depth but highest earner? No thanks.

Celtic is a great club and has done much for both football and the worldwide community throughout the years. Jim Torbett and the Kellys will rot in hell for their actions but you should not hold this against the club it is now or was before. If such a story broke about the same thing going on at Southampton back in the 60s I very much doubt you would walk away from the club now.
-
If Sol Bamba could successfully play a simple 5 yard pass we're still 1-1z Useless b@stard of a man, and an even worse football player
-
You're absolutely right, he should be praised and admired for his efforts the last few weeks...
-
Well I don't think any of us are inferring anything like that right enough, a few bad games doesn't make someone a cheat! It is alarming though how easily he was outmuscled by Dobbie for the second at Blackpool, then have Roberts give him the slightest of nudges to give him a clear header on Friday, not to mention La Fondre seemingly able to match up physically with him for thE third. I really don't know why but he seems incapable of dealing with any kind of physical threat, no matter how large or small in stature. This is obviously bad news for a centre half...
-
It's not really about 'believing' though is it? Too many people are blinded by Fonte's performances earlier this season or even last year. He has been terrible lately, with lapses of concentration seemingly creeping into his game more and more and has looked rediculously lightweight. I'd far rather have somone like Martin coming in with something to prove rather than an off-form, underperforming and lacking confidence Jose Fonte. These games are too important to have passengers in the team (I do beleive Jos has carried him for the last few months).
-
Quality at what? Certainly not defending. At the end of the day it doesn't matter how good a player he is or he isn't, his current form is terrible and is costing us points.
-
Was a strikers dream tonight. Has been awful lately, Martin in next week defo.
-
Ok Rickie off and Martin on now, 5 at the back.... Some of us have a few quid on 2-0 Rickie first scorer ;-)
-
Didn't hear that but did they not also say that it was arguable if he was offside for the goal that was chalked off? Still, I'll happily take another offside Rickie goal in the second half if it's on offer. Agree with the comments about not trying to sit back and defend the lead too early, we need to press on and put this game to bed rather than leave ourselves open for a potential 94 min wonderstrike to cost us 3 points. 3 points today are an absolute must, very very important particularly from a psychological point of view with Reading only a few days ago. Let's see it in the second half lads
-
*Cork for Morgan Guly was a passenger and put in a similar performance at Blackpool, I wouldn't expect him to start. Conversely, I would be astounded if Puncheon doesn't get the nod at wide right. Assuming Rickie is fit and ready to go I'd expect the following - ------------------Davis Richardson - Fonte - Hooiveld - Fox Puncheon - Cork - Hammond - Lallana ---------Lambert - Sharp Bench: Bart, Martin, Chaplow, Guly, Barnard If Rickie doesn't make it I'd have Barnard in from the start, Sharp and Guly look totally incompatable. End of the day, I'll trust whatever NA goes with and just hope that we can pick up a vital 3 points.

I'm Adkins' biggest fan but after about 10 mins it was blatantly obvious that our fullbacks were going to be exposed as they were looking to stretch the game with two good wide men. At this point I think you have to go to a flat midfield four. I accept it's easy to say in hindsight and I understand that if a manager believes in a game plan he is often more inclined to stick with it than change it early but I think it was so obviously needed it should have been done. If Rickie is fit (fingers crossed) id go with him and Sharp with Guly on the right of midfield. I'd also have Harding at right back given that Butterfield and Chaplow put in two of the most inept performances I've seen since Steven Whittaker against Spain. 3 points are a must this week, I've got Reading down for a draw with Leeds so hopefully we can put a bit of distance between us once again
