Thanks for the typo (are you a proof reader). as for the OP - could be, at least the half time entertainment would give the PA system at SMS a good run out!

Phil, agreed - Strachan likes a challenge and Saints are that. The opportunity to resurrect a club and get them in the Prem must be appealing to a person like WGS. Its his opportunity to create a dynasty ala one of the people he looks up to - Ferguson (ok maybe not quite that size but you never know).

It surprises me that hardly anyone has mention Alan Curbishley. Good summation tho' & yes Poyet would seem to tick alot of the boxes.

Sorry WC I'm not of that standpoint. I think you'll find that the better teams have a consistent manager that has clear goals and views on how to do things. They are then backed by the board. Without the correct "hack" you will not get the type of players you allude to. ML wants to build I believe why start building without the right footings - your just storing up problems for the future.

Anyone seen any other pictures of Herr Liebherr? I've only seen the one (which ain't that good) and would like to know if he's sat next to me when I'm watching the Saints. I mean I'd want to shake the right persons hand!
