Personally I don’t think money is his motivation - he’s got enough to last a few lifetimes. So for me the only motivation would be medals/silverware. So at a push I’d add (sorry to say) spurs - I like their manager and he is shrewd in the transfer market plus Kane scores for fun and while they have him they are always in with a chance (not the league) of silverware.
Taking money out of the equation who would you be happy for JWP to join? For me if we are to lose him (not saying or thinking we will this year) it would have to be either of Man City or Liverpool as I do not think anything below that would float his boat to be honest.
I personally think that we will win some, we will lose some, we will draw some. We will win some that we are expected to lose and we will lose some we expected to win - pretty much a normal season.
Southgate was a defender but only an ok one at best. When you set a team up to be defensive but the defenders you have are worse than you were I’m not quite sure what you expect. The Hungarian first goal just about sums up what a shambles we are. Defending a free kick - leave opposition player all on his own - back of the net and lots of England players looking at one another.
If I was Southgate I’d be playing the we can out score you game - only chance we have.
