i think that a few people shouting the odds need to get real. 12 months ago the club was bust and heading out of business. Yet now saved by a very wealthy benefactor, a lot of people are expecting ML to subsidise the club beyond it's means. Southampton FC is a business and now is being ran as a such. The club is like every other company in the land in the fact that it is tightening it's belt. If we want the best players in this division , then we must expect to pay for it through the ticket prices. If you cant stump up £400 in one hit for a season ticket, then do like most other people - use your credit card and pay it off.

Going back a year ago Kelvin Davis as we know was about to sign for West Ham due to our plight. Given the performances he has given us this year, if he had gone to West Ham and the fact that Robert Green was injured for part of the season - he would have surely been in contention to be in the England Squad for the World Cup.
