Going to watch football is a luxury some can afford- it is not one of life's necessities. If you cant afford it, it's not going to change your life.

I think there is another Charlie Austin waiting to be snapped up - Oxford United's James Constable - Really physical and fast striker - 26 goals in the Blue SQ Prem and scored and captained at Wembley yesterday -
Most people feel sorry for players being released... I don't as they are paid very well try probably 10 years of your current salary per year for kicking a ball. We as supporters of the club spend on average 1/10th of a weeks wages to watch a game to pay for their lavish lifestyles. Any player who has been released for reasons other than injury , probably would have been fired from any other job in life for poor performance. Whilst I wish all the players well that are leaving, welcome to the real world of wondering how you are going to pay off all your bills next week

Where do you want the pre-season tour to be?
The Fat Controller replied to Red Alert's topic in The Saints
Will guess at it being something like this: Oxford United (A) Salisbury (A) Eastleigh (A) Weymouth (A) QPR /Crystal Palace (H) FC Twente (H) Ted Bates Trophy as I said it's a guess -
I have a gut feeling Pardew may well stay and the meeting on Wednesday is about bringing Mark Hughes in as Director of Football and to plan our promotion campaign, hence why he was down here at the weekend. There is a lot of daft talk going on about the club after a season when we may have under achieved in the league- but football's a game of opinion. When you have spent millions out of your own pocket on buying Saints its obvious you want to see a pretty instant return on your investment - may be Pardew concentrating on the cups rather than the league may prove to be his downfall

After watching Saints for the past 25 years - i think it's fair to say that our entertainment pre- match and at half time is to be fair is pretty crap. Stuart Dennis doesn't get the crowd going enough and some of the music being played is equally as bad. Others that have tried havent been much better., and as supporters we should offer the club some alternative ideas of what we want to entertain us new ideas so here is mine I think we should have a new game where we can win a £1000 - Draw 5 people from tickets sold before the game to fund the game - Each win £50 just for being drawn out then they draw number 1-5 out of the bag. you have a score into the 5 a side goal from the halfway line to win £1000 in what ever order your drawn out. as soon as someone scores it's game over. If no-one wins then the jackpot rolls over to the next game - where everyone can buy tickets to try their luck for 2 grand etc. I like the idea of winning a signed shirt/ free tickets etc but think we could do better as a club with the overall presentation of the matchday entertainment

I thought St Mary's was flat on atmosphere last night, the build up to the match etc and the performance and result matched it.... totally flat -

Wycombe V Saints - Post Match Reaction
The Fat Controller replied to St Landrew's topic in The Saints
I think Saints are "too pretty" for this league. Taking the fact that weve been out of the top flight for a while, we cant seem to do very well away from home when we have to play on muddy pitches. Last night we seemed short of idea's on how to deal with the pitch and surely we should by now be able to cope with this. Last night and at Brentford we had to result in hoofing the ball long , as we seemed to lack much inventness. When we are on the carpet pitch at St Mary's it's a different scenario -
working within the rail industry,I Know this wont be as easy as some think. The line to the docks is still used for freight only (South west chord line), Plus the SWT depot at Northam use this as access sidings. You couldn't go in to Southampton Central without a reverse shunt in either direction at St Deny's. Then you would need rolling stock, Track access agreements, then to cover each train with additional crew on matchdays. This would also need staff to man the boarding at St Mary's. Overall not a cheap option

A body of a man has been found in Portsmouth with wearing stilleto heels. fishnet stockings, bright red lipstick and a pompey shirt. The police have now removed the shirt to avoid the family any further embarrasment -
What kit should we use for Wembley? A - Usual home kit (Stipes) B - New Centenary kit C- A New Yellow kit (remembering Carlisle play in blue) You Decide Personally i'd go with Centenary kit
