In any other industry, you have the right to a dignified sacking, even if it's the grossest misconduct and you also have the right to confidentiality about it all....Apart from football! I don't think any manager should have these kind of reports hanging over him before an official announcement is made.

I just mean someone who shows that kind of passion and has a preference for every single passage of play.

Surely it'll either be Ralph or a caretaker in charge for this. There's no way a new manager will want to start with this.

As I mentioned on another thread last night, I went to the kids game at Exeter last night and I was so impressed by our under 21's managers local nature. He did not shut up all game. Constantly shouting and talking to the players. I'm not suggesting we appoint him but I'd love someone with that kind of passion.

So it is just our B team against their B team?

I was only thinking last night, I did not expect to be watching Oliver Lancashire play for Saints at Exeter on a Tuesday night in the JPT in 2022!

Dibling by a long way. Oozed class when he came on. You can see he didn't have the experience to properly impact the game but the football brain and technical skill were there to see. Other than that, Ballard and Payne were very good as you'd expect having played for the first team. Also, not sure of the name of Olli Lancashire's CB partner but I thought he looked extremely assured

I went to the game and really enjoyed it. It was only when the two sets of players were walking off the field together that I realised the physical size difference between the two teams. Quite literally men against boys.

There's every chance that he could see us as a stepping stone for one of those clubs. They'd be more likely to approach if he'd done well with Brentford AND a slightly more reputable club. I'm not saying he absolutely would come however I don't think it's beyond the realms of possibility that he'd consider it.

We're a bigger club and as much as I can't for the life of me understand why that matters, managers seem to favour that. How often have we said "He'd be silly to leave that little job for that slightly bigger one" and they have. He also has a link with our chairman. Personally, I think he'd come.

I could see them going in for Rafa. I think Wolves is a more likely destination for Frank than Leicester.

I find it amazing that anyone would prefer a style of football over results. But they pay their money and support the club like you or I do so each to their own.

Very hard to defend Ralph after that one. If you bottle a lead like that in 2 minutes against Liverpool or City you can JUST ABOUT make peace with it but this is Everton!!!

I like Mariner. He lets a lot go but he's very consistent about it.
