That did cross my mind! Well he was linked with buying the club one place below us in the week and isn't the first American business man to be linked with buying a PL club.

Rumour was this week that WWE Owner Vince McMahon was interested in buying Newcastle United however was simply going to use it to promote the WWE (as well as probably his other business' too). I think as a wrestling fan myself, it'd be a nice little novelty at first that would soon wear off. He's worth a ton of money and would probably pump it in however, my question is would his motives matter? If he (or any other business man really) came in and spent tons of money, brought the club success however was only using it to big up his other business' would you like that? Of course the rumour of Vince buying Newcastle has since been denied but it got me wondering what you'd all think of our club being linked with this man, or someone similar (i.e Ted Turner, Donald Trump etc)

I'd take Cork. Possibly above any other Saints player apart from Lallana. Anyone know when the squad for the friendlies is announced?

Where? Care to find an example of this? Because I've only ever started one transfer rumour thread and it wasn't even strictly to do with Saints, it was Connolly to Pompey. Which ended up happening.

A friend told me. Not the most reliable source I know. And I don't think he's ever given me any transfer rumours before and I'm pretty sure he only said "apparently" too. It's probably ******** in all honesty, thought I'd see if anyone else had heard this though.

Apparently anyway. Jose's younger brother, winger/forward, played for MP at Espanyol. Would make sense however looking at his career stats I'd be pretty underwhelmed by this. Seems to be a squad player wherever he's been, though saying that he IS only 23 and was a regular in Portugal's Under 21s. Anyone ever seen him play?

I've always liked Steve Bruce. Very underrated manager and generally nice guy. I'm not saying he should be England manager but he'd be a better choice than some of the names that get linked.

Boruc, Chambers, Fonte, Yoshida, Shaw, Cork, Schiederlin, Wanyama, J-Rod, Lambert, Lallana. No reason why Cork and Wanyama can't play together along with Morgan and Steven Davis isn't young is he? He could probably do with a break. Gallagher would be a fairly early sub as well for me, depending on how things are going. If he's okay to play that is. Hopefully he can come on and nick a goal and a win in honour of his dad!

Lambert, Cork, Clyne, R-Rod, Lallana would all be going if I was England manager. And I actually don't think I'm being biased here.

England players wise.... Clyne, Chambers, Cork, J-Rod, Lambert, JWP, Lallana, Shaw could quite easily go! Might be too soon for Chambers, JWP and Shaw of course but I'd take the rest. Cork deserves a go and so does Clyne. They've gotta be better than Cleverley and Johnson/Walker!

No. I wouldn't like that. However I wouldn't mind a statue of him or a stand named after him.

Have we heard anything from any player since Cortese left? I've seen no pre match or post match comments from anyone. Maybe I'm just not looking hard enough but I don't recall any player saying anything since. Also why was Jesus doing the press conference yesterday and not MP? I want to believe that it was just because it was a cup game and not worth MP's time but I also have things in my mind like, is he off because Shaw's been sold behind his back or something? I know I'm sounding paranoid but I'm not feeling very positive about Saints at the moment!

Sky Sports put up a tweet saying "Sky Sports understand Chelsea have agreed a fee with Southampton for Luke Shaw. More to follow" then quickly deleted it. The odds on him going to Chelsea have been slashed.

Can you own two football clubs if they're in different countries? (Not saying I believe it or anything, just curious)
