He is far from arrogant. He's very good to his mates, very easy to get on with and he's a laugh. He's a bit cocky but never mistake that for arrogant. A bit mouthy after a few pints but aren't we all. He's a normal 18 year old lad. Last post of the day, enjoy the match, all.

Went to school with him, a year or two below me. Was always a decent footballer even at the age, very quick on the ball and a quality finisher. Nice lad too. I wouldn't consider myself a "friend" of his but he still drinks (well not so much anymore) in the same pub I go to and we have a lot of friends in common. Was chatting to him a few weeks back and he said he'd love to come and play for Saints as they're his local team but no aproach was made. Was wondering who on here thought HCDAJFU for the million or so Burnley paid for him? (Also just worth noting, he had no idea he was going to Burnley til a day before he went)

Yeah I vaguely remember this happening to us some years back...

I liked him when he was here first. One of my favourite players, as the OP said he played his heart out every game. This was about 3 years ago now though, as another poster said, this was in a very poor squad. Can't remember if it was our relegation season or our near relegation season but still a poor squad. His time however has passed, will always have a lot of respect for him and wish him the very best of luck with finding a club as he no doubt deserves one. However SFC is about the future and not the past, signing him would be a step backwards IMHO.

Quit Utd as assistant to join Boro as a manager. Quit Boro to join England. Pretty sure he quit one of his overseas jobs. Not sure if it was the German one or the Dutch one though.
