Connolly - Yes. Experience is exactly what we need in the Championship, at his age he'd know he was only going to be back up. He is just the player we need to come on and calm a game down. Jaidi - Yes. We're short in that area and I know he isn't the quickest car on the track but there are some games even in the Championship that just cry out for a massive, experienced, strong CB. Perfect for gritty pitches like Barnsley ect. Harding - Absilutely. He's been outstanding this season and last. Butterfield - Yes, experience/cover factor again. Gobern - No. He isn't a bad player but I think league one is about his level. He's done OKAY for us coming off the bench in League One but we don't need a player of that description. Martin - Yes. Can see this lad having a massive future. My friend knows him quite well, have met him quite a few times and he's always said he just wants a chance to play for Saints at the highest possible level.

Nugent may be useful. Good partner for Rickie.

If we get a penalty, should we let Kelvin/Bart take it? Think it would be a nice gesture to let Super Kelv get a goal to his name for all his loyalties....On the other hand, as pointed out above, we should be doing everything possible to win to be fair to the teams around Walsall....Hmmm...

Have we ever had a Brazilian player before? Hopefully he'll bring the "chaos" factor that Papa Waigo was meant to bring last season. Looks like a good signing though. Now for a pacey striker, a centre back and possibly a nice versatile player who could cover 2 or 3 positions.

Don't think I've ever cheered so loud when Henri Camara (whatever happened to him? He still at Stoke?) put it past Rob Green. Palace 2 2 Saints - Just a week after Norwich, I was at Eastleigh while Saints played at Selhurst. Eastleigh won promotion to the Confrence South and last everyone had heard Saints were 2-1 down and down to 10 men. The announcer at Eastleigh said after the final whistle there "And from Selhurst it's Crystal Palace 2 Saints.............................2" and everyone went mad. Administration - Was sat in College in a lecture when my Newcastle supporting friend texted me saying "Saints have gone into admin and face a point deduction, bad times" I was so ****ing p1ssed off with the FA. I was in a foul mood for the rest of that day. Another moment that sticks in my head but not quite an "I was there moment" was the 4-3 win over Birmingham City in 2006. I remember it being stopage time and they'd brought on DJ Campbell as a sub and my heart sank when the ball fell on his head. It eventually went over the bar and on to the roof of the net luckilly but from the time it left his head to the time it eventually landed on the roof seemed like 1000 years. It just seem to be in slow mo. There's probably quite a few more but those are the ones that spring to mind off the top of my head.

Over the last 2 nights, I've had 2 dreams about Saints. Both of them involved a midfielder (though was playing on the wing) new signing and his name began with Z. Spooky stuff.
