Austin did look poor yesterday, but then the team didn't really help him much. My hope is that Armstrong and Moi, carrying the ball from midfield at pace, will create more chances than last season. This may be a forlorn hope.

Watched the last 20 minutes. Not much time to assess, but encouraging. Pretty decent at times. Seem to be more forward-looking, and moving the ball quicker. Hoedt managed to look wobbly. Reed busy. Gallagher mobile. JWP in central midfield? Wonder how many games he'll really get there?

I'm curious what has 'gone wrong' for Forster? It's somewhat irrelevant whether we think he was good/bad/indifferent when he was a regular (and when we were doing well).... but it's obvious that something has changed and he isn't the player he was before. So what's changed? Different training regime? Injury? Has he got lazy? Illness? Too bulked up? Just a lack of confidence? And how come our top class coaches and facilities have been unable to address the situation?

So I'm getting Benchmarx and Wren round to measure and give me design ideas. Although I expect that I'll buy from DIY Kitchens and do some of the fitting myself. Will need to find a carpenter to do the worktops, and a plasterer to do the ceiling.....got a friend who can fit and certify the new boiler. Lots to do...should be fun though!
