  1. I have played with a Kindle - it's okay. Love the idea of e-readers, but I do find the Kindle a little plastic/cheap feeling. I believe Samsung are (or may have just) brought out an e-reader. Shame that a well know Scandinavian mobile phone manufacturer recently canned their e-reader project: despite being all lined up for a late Nov launch. Really good product too....
  2. Absolute legend; I never tire of watching his stuff. Did some damn funny TV interviews too. Seemed like a genuine person too. "We're sorry to bother you at such a time like this, Mrs. Twice. We would have come earlier, but your husband wasn't dead then." RIP.
  3. Meant to post this earlier in the week, but my 3 a day limit, and busy work stopped me....... Angry Birds and Need for Speed Shift are free with the phone. They will be shipped pre-installed on later releases, but for one reason or another they weren't on the first releases. Go to Ovi Store - there is a widget for this on the phone. Ovi is Nokia's music/apps store. Search for the games: download. You will need to download Need for Speed via wifi: it's a pretty heavy file. Great game. Search out Galaxy on Fire too: essentially Elite but with nice graphics. Loads of games on there - some fun footie ones too. Not surprisingly N8 sold more than any other phone in it's release week: it outsold the entire Win7 range 10:1.
  4. It is fantastic. Really good quality build, and enjoyable to use. Camera is amazing, both for stills and video. The UI is fine: no issues at all with it. Only one thing that needs to be improved: the browser is not a slick/quick as it should be; the newer Nokia browser is on its way - imminently, and will be available as a free update. On the apps front, the approach from Nokia is quality not quantity. Whilst there are thousands of apps on android/apple, the top apps count for most of the downloads. Nokia is bringing on the top ones, plus some impressive exclusives; and a load of new services. Playing Need for Speed on the N8, plugged straight into an HD TV with surround sound is one hell of an experience. Plus you get free maps. I am about to sell my TomTom - it's now redendant.... bloody good navigation when you're walking too.
  5. ****. Radio off. Going running. Possibly straight to the pub.
  6. I KNEW the moment I decided to go for a run we would score!
  7. 127. The best Scandinavian central defensive pairing this country has ever seen.
  8. Love it. ****s. And remember kids: bullies never win.
  9. Peanut?
  10. Nokia's approach to apps is to go for quality rather than quality; the view being that whilst there are ******* thousands of apps on iPhone and Android, in fact the top downloads are delivered by a relatively small number of apps. Hence, I very much doubt there will be a Saints app in the short term: doesn't seem to fit with the immediate plans I have seen. That said they are signing up LOADS of developers now, so maybe something will get sorted. Oh, and the N8 is ****ing amazing.
  11. There is a difference between being physically fit and mentally prepared. Maybe he is just not happy at Saints right now. Were there any bids for him in the summer?
  12. We need to stop fannying about and get the manager situation sorted NOW. No excuses. We are still some way from the season being a complete write-off, and I do belive we will go up this year. But losing breeds a losing mentality and that has to be stopped. Think it will be tough for Adkins: we'll butcher him if he doesn't get immediate results! I say pay MON whatever he wants to do the job until the season end.
  13. Impressive. Comes across really well. Thing to bear in mind is that this is quite possibly the toughest press conference he's has to deliver, after in all probablility a very tough couple of days for him. Sounded clam, considered and confident despite this. Like the way he stressed how important it is for Wilkins to prep the squad for our tough game on Saturday. He clearly wants the job. Interesting how he kept stating that 'things had been done in the right way'. Bit of a fingers in the air to his Chairman. Suhari liked this. Suhari thinks Nigel Adkins will sleep on it, resign in the morning, take over mighty Saints and head down to watch us on Saturday.
  14. That crossed my mind earlier today. Would be an excellent appointment.
  15. I wonder if that might be near the truth (not the Mourinho bit obviously); but I can't help thinking we MIGHT be in for a surprise. Lowe did it with Burley, when it looked nailed on for the Dutch pair. I don't recall many AP rumours before he appeared. And we know NC likes to keep things close to his chest. Coulld AAdkins be a cover? I wonder if another Lawrie/KK style unveiling is possible in this day and age? (I suspect not to be fair...)
  16. My random thinking.... Young, English, success on CV, possibly player-manager. (Ignoring the 'Wow' bit for now - although there was that comment from the twitter agent that said Saints fans would be happy). Wonder if the 'success on CV' has to refer to management success? Maybe a well known player having his first management job? Could fit with Reed's 'guru' position *cough*. Maybe he might be a mentor to someone. Any fading players around who have had previous dealings with Reed? Is it too much of a stretch to think we might get a former 'big name' player in their first management role?
  17. Really don't want him. He has come across FAR too desparate for the role over the past few days. Perhaps not a bad thing - shows he is motivated. But he is a bit crap really.
  18. If you like Nokia: The E5 is a very nice bit of kit. C6 is good: nice keyboard. C7 is on its way.......
  19. Been v busy this week, so have struggled to keep on top of the news (rumours?) What was the jist of this article? Can someone let me know? PM will be fine.
  20. Interesting. If nothing else it further underlines how far we have come in little over a year.
  21. Ditto!
  22. Read it; liked it. Was not what I expected at all. In many ways a very 'easy' read; but then again, its not. Good book. Now back to the Rebus series.......
  23. Too many so called 'experts' talk total ********. Much as I dislike Claridge for being a pikey fish-****ging Skate, he is actually a very good pundit: especially as regards the lower leagues. Considered, well balanced and knowledgeable. Bet he has more insight into the goings on at SMS than most of us too....
  24. 20 questions? Go on.... 1. Is he working at the moment?
