  1. Ok, so you only look like scoring if the keeper makes great saves - got you.....
  2. "Without us ever looking like scoring" - Indeed. Apart from the time we did score of course. And the last ditch block to deny Redmond's shot that was going in. And JWP's scuffed attempt from Ings's pull back when a half decent connection would have been a goal. And the volley from Cedric's cross he put just over that he should have scored from. And the 22 other attempts we had on goal, several of which their keeper made good stops from. But yeah, apart from that, never ever looked like scoring....
  3. All the way back in to 5/1 post Bournemouth - a definite over-reaction I'd say although with the upcoming fixtures it could go shorter still before ultimately proving to be nonsense.
  4. I just clicked on the Betfair market for the game for the first time and was amazed to see we are Evens. I thought we would be considerably shorter than that I must say.
  5. And now out to 8/1 after the win at Sheff Utd.
  6. Yes, I understand that you could make an argument that we have MORE to lose than them, my point is that them having NOTHING to lose is nonsense.
  7. And now out to 6/1 after the Man U game.
  8. Back out to 5/1 on the back of the win at Brighton.
  9. No offence, but as somebody who gambles for a living I am not going to trade figures with a trolling fantasist, but suffice to say it would hurt.
  10. In to 4/1 on the back of the Liverpool defeat - so I've layed some more....
  11. Apologies for the double post mods - internet trouble!
  12. Into around 9/2 on Betfair after yesterday's somewhat underwhelming opener. I'll be laying at that price - don't think we'll be anywhere near it personally.
  13. In to around 9/2 on Betfair after yesterday's somewhat underwhelming opener. I'll be laying some of that - don't think we'll be anywhere near it this year personally.......
  14. Thinking positively - if it wasn't happening Saints would know by now, therefore so would the ITK's, therefore so would we.
  15. Fantastic stuff - many thanks for that.....
  16. It seems as if this thread could soon be done for the year (and hopefully many years to come!). If, as seems likely now, we stay up fairly comfortably, is it too much to hope for that the "we are 100% down" brigade pause to think for a moment next time we are in a sticky situation? Probably.
  17. I watched the first leg - 2-2 at Elland Rd including a belter from Steve Williams - on Sportsnight as a nipper, but have never seen it since. Any time I search Youtube or the like it is never there, which, for a big game that was on tv (highlights at least) seems surprising. Anyone know where to find it?
  18. After Burnley's defeat we are now 15/1 to go down on Betfair currently. I'm pretty confident - but that definitely seems on the big side, and would have been unimagineable at about 4.20 yesterday!
  19. Well what a difference a couple of goals makes.....we are all the way out to 12/1 to go down this morning. One point worth making I think is that given the mood on here had the 2nd half mirrored the first (see the match thread for details!) and the other results yesterday, the feeling on here would have been dark and completely resigned to relegation (not EVERYONE of course) and yet we would still have been around 9/2 to go down.
  20. Despite losing yesterday, the manner of that defeat combined with the Cardiff result sees us out to 10/1 this morning.
  21. Not quite double figures but we are all the way out to 9/1 to go down. I think that's a little on the high side, the large number on here who think it is a toss of the coin job even after last night's win presumably find it completely mindblowing......
  22. And all the way back out to 6/1 following tonight's favourable results. If (yeah, I know) we can take advantage of this latest opportunity tomorrow, I think we'll be out to double figures...
