For those of you who think there is "literally zero chance" of us being reinstated....you can currently lay us at around 7/1 to get promoted on Betfair. Pretty good interest rate for a few hours work.

As ever, it's the betting angle from me.......Betfair have no option but to keep their promotion market open. You can currently back Middlesbrough at 10/1 to go up. May be of some interest as to what sort of chance there is of us being chucked out and also of interest to people who think "there is literally zero chance" of that happening as you can of course lay them.....

Not at all saying that they CAN'T win all three but pointing out again for those who think it is virtually certain......the treble for Millwall to win their last 3 games will pay comfortably over 3/1.

For all those saying "hard to see where Millwall drop any points" (which in some respects of course I get)....the combined odds of that treble would be well over 3/1 I suspect.

Seeing those stats, on behalf of Saintsweb Groupthink I can only congratulate the players on achieving that whilst being coached by a charlatan, a fraud and the worst kind of supply teacher. Congratulations to Tonda himself as well for doing it with a squad whose talent and depth at this level is an utter myth.

Reading this thread reminds me of my favourite unwritten forum rule - if you post "Get those insurance bets on now!"...."You just KNOW we are going to rue those missed chances"....."No way we win this without another goal" etc and you are right you get to say "See, told ya!"....but if you are completely wrong you just wait till you can do it again next time.

You may see us as underdogs but the market (rightly or wrongly) doesn't......👀

I'm old enough to remember when those that thought we had a ridiculously talented squad for this league were deluded happy-clappers.

Interesting watching the forum prepare for this clash with Schrodinger's Sheffield United.....simultaneously a decent Championship side with an experienced manager who will have too much for us and the bottom of the table shambles that it will be a DISGRACE if we don't beat.

Weather now looking really grim for the game. I know the 3-0 game was played in high winds but I absolutely hate it! And while I'm at it don't they have a high strike rate for awful weather? The Yakubu 1-0 was in a hurricane and the most recent cup game was in torrential rain.....

So many reactions to enjoy on here that I genuinely don't know which are my favourites - is it those who told us Spors would sit on his hands before making a late, underwhelming panic loan and then when proved utterly wrong still rate it a 5/10 window.....or is it those who think we are underdogs against the Skates (when the prices come out there will be an overwhelming underdog but it won't be us)? The new signings need to gel, Still has to make a team from the parts he has been given and I, too, would prefer it if Ramsdale was still our keeper....but if you can't see that the squad we have now should absolutely be going up automatically then you either have an agenda or football maybe just isn't for you.

Based on the assumption of a points deduction, Leicester are around three times the price of Saints and Ipswich for the league making them a hell of a bet for those convinced it won't happen.....

If talk of Frank Lampard was muted that would be ideal tbh.

8/1 still available with 365 for those who, somewhat bizarrely, think it's absolutely inevitable....

FAO the "no way we get more points than Derby" brigade.....Bet 365 put us up at 20/1 yesterday to finish with the lowest ever. May have been trimmed since due to last night's result but some context I would say.....(PS - I was surprised they went THAT big but still it is clearly way more unlikely than likely).

It has shortened a little now but yesterday Saints were freely available at 26/1 on Betfair to win today. Whilst the better value on Betfair has only been around this century I can't think of a competitive game in my supporting lifetime (since 1978) when we might have been bigger?
