  1. Arsene will have a lot more to moan about 2 down at B'miuth Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. Left field.....how about offering it to Erwin :-) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Thanks have to admit not heard of them but it would be a gamble on picking someone with no Prem experience twice in a season? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Having turned down Pellegrini (my choice last summer) who would you go for ? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. Yes was in post match statement after game v Spurs. We couldn't keep up pressing-I was amazed we did same thing second half. It's the thing that has me concerned most of all - he doesn't seem to recognise and change things - Cherries apart. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. I am undecided still but something has to change. Maybe he needs better support from backroom team. As an example Spurs we got battered in midfield and I couldn't believe we didn't change formation at half time. Surely someone could see that ? Claude admitted we were dead after 20 why?? 8. Well the first few games he was tremendous for me, we then went into rotation and shifted him to the right at times and he is struggling now. I believe if we sat him in the middle with Romeu in a 4-2-3-1 he would be fine. Not entirely Claudes fault but I also worry what his backroom team do. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. Dear oh dear Duck you will have a coronary at this rate! Can you not see why some are upset or had enough? I am still unsure but I would like your reasons why you think he can turn this round? What have you seen in him to make you certain he is right man? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. Do you think he will get what's required in January? Who has improved under him? Even if we sign good players do you believe Claude will get the best out of them? I look at Hojberg and worry how much he has got worse since the season has gone on. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. We are 10th and in a semi final....oh and Sturridge is limping !!! Do you see Claude turning this around? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. Do you think we will replicate last seasons run in? I am not advocating the sack just a change in style, play and tactics. He needs backing in this window to do that but not easy in January. Cut out rotation and only make changes where necessary. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. The semi final was only achieved against a shocking Palace side, a worldly Boufal goal in a game of dross and Arsenal juniors so let's see if we can do better than last season 6-1 hammering before lauding that. The Europa campaign was a shambles and disgrace to throw away the start we had. I agree this squad is poor and the bonus has been McQueen and Sims and praise Puel for that and losing Pied and Austin hasn't helped plus abysmal form of Forster,Long and Jayrod . It was about 5 years before I saw us win away :-) I have seen some dross in 50+ years and we have been spoilt in last few years but to me we are underachieving and I think that's the rotation and tactics of Puel and staff. 14. So last night after leaving Giddy Bridge nipped into Tescos to get lottery. In there was the beggar who sits outside in Saints hat he had dropped his bottle of JD and pulled out a £20 note buying another one he expected Tescos to give half price because he dropped it outside their store. 15. Jamie Carragher hasn't had to sit and watch the dross served up versus Be'er Sheva, Prague, Hull, Palace, Boro, Spurs and WBA second halves from a fans point of view. Puel may look good on the outside because of what he has had to contend with but honestly are you enjoying our play? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. To one striker and if lucky a midfielder 20 yards away because we don't want to be caught on the break! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. You don't blame Puel for that performance? Who picked that team? Whose motivating them? Whose tactics mean we have one in the box 80% of a game? Can you name me any successful side that changes 3 of its back 4 regularly? So Romeu and VVD can play every game but Bertrand and Cedric international players can't? Players take the responsibility on the pitch yes but the rest is down to the management to give us a chance if winning we had 1 shot on target! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. Simunovic looks more Jos than Virgil. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. But you got relegated last season?? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. Fine I have no problem with that its very much me too however, I don't see the balance in your posts - I must look harder :-). We all want to win and play great football, yes we may be 8th but IMO we could be top 6 and that why I am frustrated watching that poor display last night coupled with Hull, Be'er Shiva, Palace, Prague, it won't need much to put it right but similarly we could slip down to 10-14th with a few bad results.
  21. Or appoint you next time we need a PR guru...Comical Ali was modelled on you - try a balanced view every now and then it works better rather than your blinkered everything is rosy approach. Forums like this are for people to vent spleen and air their frustration - last night was not an isolated case was it? Just maybe we could be doing better?
  22. Do you think we are getting the best out of Boufal out wide? Does Redmond deserve a start over Long...how does Long rediscover any form sat on his arse? Can we play a midfield trio that 2 can't tackle and one can only take free kicks and corners? Do we have to alienate the striker every game? Answer to those questions is change the formation to 4-2-3-1 for a few games and IMO Puel will see better performances is he willing to change though? That is not rotation - last night we changed 3 subs - all played exactly the same position as those that came off.....
  23. Its not so much the rotation WC its the formation I have issues with and the reluctance to change during a game or at half time - Bournemouth and Davis being the exception. Spurs flexible 4-2-3-1 5 man midfield battered our 3 with Davis/JWP hardly winning a tackle. How can a team get used to each other if constantly changing? Rotation has its place but we need more flexibility in formation not rigid 4-3-3
  24. Was that you riding the bike up Shirley High Street last night.....bowler hat, face paint, Saints onesie?
