  1. If Wotte is successful then great but show me where in his career he has been? If my Aunty Mary had ******** she would be my Uncle Bob. We start with -10 points do we have time to suffer further mismanagement or do idiots like you not see that? I accept that people like you who supported Lowe to the n'th degree will not have any word said against a stupid decision like appointing this guy in the first place so have to constantly follow blindly - whereas some of us want more from the club. You want him to stay on.....but then take over whose job? Hockaday, Henderson all have done great with the academy and reserves yet you want them replaced by someone who gets relegated at most of his clubs and you think thats the best option? Its idiots like you that see this club in the mess its in with just accepting the mediocrite we always have to put up with.
  2. Northampton at home
  3. Next few minutes on SSN
  4. Did you not see the article about commission and the Egypt board not being happy? Yet we still have some 'intelligent' fans who want him here next season as manager despite his great career record!
  5. Yeah all those idiots that had to watch us get relegated by playing a stupid formation - no width, no pace, no passion. A bloke that sat here and watched us play the same joke system under JP and did nothing as part of the heralded set up. But then again you have a motive for championing him don't you...after all you posted all those great predictions about him keeping us up. Your right we do have some idiots as fans.
  6. Apparently Wotte was supposed to collect his things last Thursday but there was a hold up . Here is a translation from the post on the Egyptian clubs best fans site....http://www.elismaily.com/main/modules.php?name=News&file=article&sid=4042 On Thursday as he was currently in England, he collected his belongings from the club Southampton in preparation for the return of the new Thursday Asmaeilih On the other hand, the Council will hold a meeting tomorrow may be the most important during the current period will be the discussion of all matters relating to the Fouta Balholndy Mark and the young director of the new candidate is Fathi Fawzi Gamal friend, or perhaps working with each other bilateral and new deals will be discussed, and so decided to postpone the extension of the technical start of the run to Saturday
  7. I lay the blame totally at the numpty that insisted on playing one up front and trying to kid everyone we were playing three! The continuance of solely McG who is never a target man for 25 games was for me one of the main reasons we failed so abysmally. There were some shocking substitutions like bringing on Gillet v Sheff Weds when they were just hoofing it long....Gillet did his best but at 5ft didly squat he got beaten regularly and didn't surprise me when they equalised.
  8. If you read the post he hasn't been on this forum....it was a response to a message sent to him...totally different to Wilde. Makes me laugh....some want openess and honesty and hourly updates, when its given twice in as many weeks they get slated....brilliant.
  9. I don't think he will have the finances he wants here...perhaps once the Arab buys Portsmouth that will suit him more? IF Pinnacle take over it has been made clear we will have to be pretty much self sufficient but have a few quid to spend....Blackburn are far richer than us and he thought that wasn't enough. We will not appoint Ince IMO.
  10. Especially when its not even TL that's promoting it!! If that charity gets one more sponsor or pound from getting noted on here then that will have been worthwhile because how else do they get known?. We can always get OB some "Bitter & Jealous" ones printed in the megastore dedicated to him.
  11. Southampton: McNeil; Richards, Rudd, Cranie, Critchell; Walcott, James,Sparv, Dyer; McGoldrick, Best. This was actually the team that played. McNeil has just left Hibs Richards never recovered from a horrific injury I saw him do at Staplewood. Rudd had problems with joints went to Oxford Utd Cranie.....well...serial loanee now ;-) Critchell ruptured achilles never saw him complete his early promise Walcott ....rubbish for England last week ;-) James was the most improved player last season despite playing out of position Sparv at Halmstad was a decent player and exact replica of Scheiderling IMO Dyer now at CCC Swansea level higher than us McGoldrick...not sure what happened to him.... Best playing higher level than us and scored against us last season. So as I said quite a few have done pretty well and a couple of successes.
  12. Are you saying Best, Blackstock, Cranie, Theo, Bale, Matt Mills have all been failures because they have all gone on and done pretty well IMO.
  13. Takes one to know one......sad freak....your turn
  14. Hey thats a 10 minute walk from my house ....20 minute walk back ;-)
  15. I hope they both go through....am sick of the top 4 in the Premiership monopolising everything. I would love both clubs to be back in the Premiership sticking it to the Man U's, Arsenals and Liverpools. I think Pompey are going to be Ok and this is all media bull****...its their turn to have the upper hand against us and they have had some amazing transfer fees come in recently Diarra, Defoe and can't believe anyone is willing to pay 20m for a right back especially one who cost 8m 2 seasons ago. They have the Sky money, Prem money and decent players to sell off to get them out of the poop....but they just may struggle next season if things are not sorted quick enough as we have found out several times recently. Lets forget about them and just hope and pray ours goes through and its not a false dawn again.
  16. Commission ...hahhahaha http://beta.filgoal.com/english/News.aspx?NewsID=56568
  17. http://www.dailyecho.co.uk/sport/saints/news/4436629.Saints_urged_to_reward_loyal_supporters Goes with the rumour I heard yesterday from someone who had been told from a friend in the club. £275 Adults and £50 kids which I at first said was wrong as it had not been set but perhaps they were right? PS I think in hindsight those were Family Centre ones
  18. Who won the League cup last year? Finishing in the top 8 this season, qualifying for Europe...yeah absolute abysmal form.
  19. Exactly we have had one complete nutjob trying to tell us for years Hoddle was the messiah when everyone knows he has been a disaster wherever he has been since he left.
  20. I think he came in late June around the 20th. So depending how many we lose...say 5 with 5 decent additions which is what I think we need, right back, mobile midfield ball winner, pacey winger , big target man and central defender we will be able to make up the 10 point gap to get in the play offs. If Wotte carries on then we will struggle again IMO.
  21. I have seen that posted a couple of times and didn't believe it ...here is a post from Um Pahars that goes someway to disprove the fact they kept there side together. um pahars um pahars is online now Full Member Join Date: Nov 2006 Posts: 5,559 Default Quote: Originally Posted by Professor View Post So Pearson would have got the players in the Saints squad to play better.......fantasy land I'm afraid... 22. As many of us didn't like the Dutch revolution but still supported the team what makes you think we wouldn't again? Many of us just want a club.
  23. Thanks for taking the time to research that and it sort of backs up what I was trying to say far better than quotes from newspapers/blogs. His stats prove that he is bloody useless yet we still have people on here saying give him another chance.....why? He can't cut it, he may be a nice guy and charm his way through life but as a manager he has a shocking record. He will state the bleeding obvious and add all the fan friendly rhetoric that some will swallow but look at his record proves he is useless. To move on we need better managers than him, we need to recognise in this club that its the most important role here not the chairman. Forest recognised this and stayed up...we appointed Wotte and look what happened. Ok money was non-existant but not that bad we could appoint 4 Dutchmen, put 2 good coaches on gardening leave and waste 7 loan players wages and agent fees. Move over Wotte and let someone in who can get us back up.
  24. But one article isnt from fans though is it - also I have a whole seasons evidence to base my views on. Wotte isn't good enough to get us back up, I want us to shoot a lot higher and fed up with just picking second best, Gray, Wigley, Dodd/Gorman, JP so why for once can't we get someone in who will do a decent job. Many shot down Billy Davies, Neil Warnock, Blackwell and Fat Sam......all kept their clubs up and improved last season. We ended up with 2 dutch jokers and may want one still here unbelievable.
  25. I think loads of managers could of kept us up...why...because not many would of continued with a stupid 1 up front for 25 games!!! Wotte was here from the start of the season he was part of the championed management team and not here just from January. He was part of the setup that bought in 7 shocking loans. As for his Dutch career here are 2 articles that prove otherwise as to highly regarded. http://netherlands.worldcupblog.org/1/feyenoord-where-did-it-go-wrong.html Someone appointed former youth player Mark Wotte as technical director. Why? Nobody knows. Wotte was a mediocre coach at mediocre clubs. Didn’t have any management experience at all. Still, he was in charge of building a new Feyenoord, with Ruud Gullit. I don’t know how many players came from how many different countries, but at the end of the day, Wotte/Gullit failed. Miserably. Ebi Smolarek was told to leave (he went to Borussia Dortmund where he had a sensational season), http://www.independent.co.uk/sport/football/football-league/dutch-manager-lined-up-by-saints-520362.html Sources say Wotte was unpopular at Feyenoord and some at the club were happy to see him go. He has been blamed for their failings, with many of the players he has brought in not living up to expectation. Wotte is not regarded as a coach of any great ability but will fit into the structure planned by Lowe and Woodward.
