As someone said to me last night if they are that good and out of contract why haven't other clubs snapped them up? However if I was given a choice between Stern and Rasiak I would choose Stern some forget it was his goals that kept us up the other year . Had he not of been loaned out I am sure he would of scored far more than our other poor forwards last year.

He was there 4 years....thats a bloody big stepping stone in terms of SFC who have had about 12 managers in 8 years!!! I have read that on here several times now but for me if he can get us up 2 divisions then bugger off to his spiritual home then the job he was employed to do will have been completed. We will be in higher division and a far better place to attract good managers than Div 1 on -10.

How many managers actually stay anywhere if a better offer comes along....WGS is seen as a cult hero here but he walked out on us to have that mythical operation. In his book he states that he had taken us as far as possible and needed a bigger challenge. Pardew can be as disloyal and as mercenary as he likes as long as he gets up up 2 divisions and then buggers off as we will then be a far bigger attraction to other managers than we are bottom of Div 1 on -10.

We could appoint 'The Chosen One' and some would complain its not Capello! I jumped for joy when we got Burley who I loathed with a passion at the end...was not happy when we got Strachan. This time I am waiting and hoping he is as good an appointment as I think it is. If he gets a good start and gets the -10 wiped out quickly which will be tough as we do not have any players yet the club will be on a roll....the fans are geared up for it. Can't wait for tomorrow to get back to SMS with Flag and face paints ;-)

Did anyone else see the piece on TV last night about the QE2? Apparently its not been touched since its delivery into Dubai 8 months agao and sounded like Nakheel the owners are having cold feet about its plans. The plan was to remove the funnel and engine room and turn them into penthouse suites and entertainment but nothing has changed at all. There was talk of Nakheel sending it to South Africa to be used as hotel and accomodation for the WC to alleviate the massive shortage of rooms there. I still think Soton Council could of pushed for a grant to bring this to the waterfront and turn it into a massive tourist attraction for the city. Surely this was what the Lottery and Arts grants are for? Ok I know this council is allegedly skint but there are always ways to fund big projects like this. Our waterfront is a disgrace and you only have to look along the M27 to see what a big hit their dockyard is for tourism.

Surely the one player we would all happily sponsor is KD...loyalty etc....plus we know he will be here next season.

I worry if KD gets injured we are totally buggered...thats how much faith I have in the rest. Forecast gets beaten too easily low down, he has been awful on crosses in the 6 times I have seen him play. Poke doesnt command his area enough, not bad shot stopper but I never feel safe with him in goal. Bart is Calamity Mk2...has conceded some joke goals, rubbish on crosses, poor handling and kicking needs work.

Long ball ...short ball it doesnt matter as long as its the correct ball! I find it quite funny that over 51% want Strachan back yet his main tactic was to pick out Beattie! Not the only one obviously with Crop Circles and Bridge/Mazza but most games it was the long ball to BT and feed off him. As I said earlier what do you think is best 3 passes and in the net or 25 like last year and back to Kelvin?
