Thats exactly how I feel, I WAS a shareholder ...only a small one granted. I own 2 ST's, I also pay for my other child to attend on occasions. I regularly buy them kit, programmes, food, drink and at the weekend went into the shop and bought 2 more shirts. I do not want the club to go under but want to know where any money I further donate goes because if its going into the PLC, Administrator, PR guru or accountants fees then I am out.

Dont call me Shirley....... So we may go from Rupert to Rupees....

I wonder if these 2 things are related as posted on the LC on the Radio thread earlier this week. derry derry is offline Full Member Join Date: Jul 2007 Posts: 2,675 Default Quote: Originally Posted by Third Division South Days View Post On at 6.30 ready to answer listeners questions Ask him what was Royston Smith Southampton Conservative leader doing, going into SMS with him at 1630, are they putting a deal together to buy SMS. But that to me was why he never did as it was a question of when they buggered it up not if. There was plenty of evidence to say they would of on past history and now proved even further given all the money we have wasted this year. Coaches on gardening leave, mysterious Dutch agent/advisors, some absolutely appaling loans and signings. I know you dont get down to the reserves much but honestly it would take you 10 minutes to see Gasmi, Molyneux, Forecast, Pulis(yep I have seen him play for us) and to some extent Boyle are not up to the CCC. Boyle may prove otherwise long term as he looked Ok when I saw him but he is far too small and lightweight - a bit like Smith.

Would you of trusted Wilde with 2m of your money given what had gone on previously?

Or kept back the Burley compensation to pay for Pearson? That was a massive bonus on something that just came out of the blue. Trouble was the JP for Pearson arguement was never about money but one mans fantasy to have 99% of the squad from his academy set up regardless of whether they were ready or not.

That is something I totally agree with and born out by a few comments last night during the Man U v Porto game (during switching to SSN every couple of minutes). The commentator stated that Porto were now known as a selling club as they had recently sold loads of good players Deco, Carvalho, Costinha, Maniche, P. Ferreira, Nuno Valente, Jorge Costa, V. Baia and Carlos Alberto. If its good enough for a massive club like Porto then its good enough for me to be know as a selling club.

Barclays: "Significantly increase attendances" AND "sell players"
Give it to Ron replied to trousers's topic in The Saints
The funniest bit for me is the bit about club wasting money on transfers and players.... Delgado was great, so was Gasmi, Pulis, Forecast, Schneiderling all of course signed by his predecessor in 2006 when he was not here.....oh hold on! Its quite amusing to read the luvvies like NC, John B, the Nicks and of course loveable old rosey cheeks thrashing about like wounded sharks attacking anything and everyone bar themselves. -
Royston Smith is Tory http://roystonsmith.co.uk/index.php?option=content&task=view&id=2&Itemid=25

Now that is one of the greatest re-writes in history!!! Wilde disappeared looking for investment..was he on Shergar by any chance or was he voted off by the people he appointed as they sussed him out....brilliant. You missed your vocation JohnB you should be a defence lawyer. The 80% salary was a short period of time...read the AGM notes and Dave Jones quotes.

Well up to last week I was a shareholder as well so I had many hats under loveable old rosey cheeks...
-
There is that Rupert trait you share ....you have been a luvvie too long Nick you are sounding like him now.

-17 points to be carried over to next season.
-
I posted that on Saturday in the match thread...it was doing the rounds at Northam Club.
-
I believe it depends on our league position. If we are automatically relegated it will be carried over. We need to be safe by 11 points to stay up so not a chance!
-
if this was true.... Geoff Beattie, Debden says... 12:41pm today Mon 6 Apr 09 Panic over - I just saw Milan Mandaric at the ground. Well we do already have a statue of him if it hasn't been melted down. Before anyone says anything yes I know he can't as he owns Leicester. Old rosey cheeks would love it if his old adversary did buy us...Mandy buying us out of spite ;-)

What can we expect to happen this week?
Give it to Ron replied to Amesbury Saint's topic in The Saints
After Saturday the pessimist in me is doing OT. 17 point deduction for trying to pull the wool over the eyes of the FL. Watford 3-0 win. 18 out of the 19 are proved tyrekickers or all Fulthorpes mates with no money. Wotte eats himself....oh well something at the end to cheer us up then. -
So at a time when the club is desperate for its fans to help out you didn't go. You are right the club and fans deserve each other...those that went did not deserve that performance though. Still you may have plenty of occassions to take your kids out and not watch my club.
-
Exactly the performance I dreaded why does this team always let down the fans ? Surman and Lallana were abysmal and Wotte should of changed it at half time which again gave them all the impetus in the half. No pace out wide, no creativity from midfield and just a big lump up the pitch and feed off that. Size was poor, Jake out of his depth, Wotton at home offers nothing, I felt really annoyed with Wotte today as the midfield in the last 3 or 4 games have been poor yet he continued with 2 of them the usual culprits. We missed Gillet IMO. I think it will be immaterial anyway after Tuesday. I cant wait for this horrific season to be over. Lets hope we have a team next season to follow. Funniest rumour I heard today....Rod Stewart and WGS are interested.

Sorry missed other thread!

So he did write a cheque then.....whether it was a loan or not it was his actual money. I am amazed that Jonah thinks £250k+ is nothing.....oh well none so blind although I agree about Hone. Its very funny the way its not OK for Crouch to join with Wilde but fine for Rupert.
-
2 things I would respond to here: 1) Hone at the Solent forum stated that Crouch did in fact write a cheque for £2m but they never cashed it due to the fact they didnt like the strings attached. 2) Crouch did reduce the wage bill by loaning out Rasiak and Skacel so you cannot say he didnt do anything much!

What about 5 year ST's..transferable to relatives on life events.
