  1. I finally got the stream, I'm listening live and watching a minute ago. Better than nothing.
  2. Not for me it doesn't
  3. Yes you did!
  4. What are you watching on?
  5. That's enough trying to get a stream to work, Hi big Dave Merrington. COYS!!!
  6. I watched a show a few days ago where they investigated if it was really possible to impale someone in the anus so that the stake comes out through the mouth and the victim can still live for 2 days. It is possible, apparently.
  7. I've not even bothered to watch it. International translations of shows work extremely rarely......More so when it's an American translation of a foreign show.
  8. How did he get so drunk on bloody Foster's?
  9. Puts everything into perspective on a forum like this. RIP little guy.
  10. You'd be amazed how popular it is here in the US. Now they have their own version, which the BBC will also be raking in money for. And no Dune, Clarkson does not **** of the lefties. Really, is the left/Right divide all you ever think about?
  11. We could always declare it a verb, that way it will never have a capital letter. eg: "You've just been pompeyed in the butt"
  12. I am no longer not confused! I need a new head too.
  13. I don't understand the reference, and I am straight, but hey, if it takes the limelight away from the OP, let's get it on right here on the dance floor!
  14. Offence can't be given, it can only be taken.
  15. I love Le God, but even he would be laffing at this.
  16. I think I can sum up the subject of this thread in simple terms Alpine's potential audience on internet = Billions Alpine's potential audience in real life = 1 + any immediate family Alpine's comprehension of normal social interaction due to above statistics = minimal
  17. Um, you reap what you sow? Surely that is up to you to figure out!
  18. Humour bypass worked fine on you then?
  19. Dave does just fine. Especially as I can still remember Jimmy Case doing his job.
  20. Yes, Alpine, you are correct, I am comparing the forum to a civilised society. In most of those societies the mentally ill are sectioned. Often for their own safety. That is what saves normally well adjusted family men from stabbing the aforementioned lunatic in the neck with a biro. This is not hyperbole.
  21. This thread is mostly, if not all about the match day threads, right? Well. I see that thread as entirely different to all other threads on this forum. It is the closest that some of us can be to being at the match. In my own case, this is why the vast majority of my own posts are inane drivel. I know it must annoy some people, but I see it as mixing with the crowd. We can all "see'" the game, and don't really need to give each other commentary. We express our hopes, fears, and expectations. We cheer the team along and give our support the best way we can. We also have a laugh and generally "Watch" the game. It is a virtual crowd for those of us that cannot be there. There is no point in dissecting a game we cannot actually see to any great extent, we can get the gist of the game from the commentators and comment on that, but beyond that small amount of input, we are blind, and have no right to post comments such as "They are not up for it" after 17 minutes of play. Most ex pats are very much out of it on match days as far as real involvement is concerned, and whatever Alpine says, we do NOT really know what is going on. All we know is what the match sounds like, and what we should not do next according to Dave Merrington. It is a VERY poor substitute to being at the game, but it is the best we have. It is beyond me how any ex-pat without a good travel plan can honestly be taken seriously on their opinions gleaned from the radio, especially when they won't even watch the rare live TV stream that is available. I use the match day thread to enjoy what I can from the commentary, hang out with a couple of Arabs and a Canadian or two, punch a parrot, look at a sexy nun and enjoy the match......Just like a match day in my home town. If I were in the terraces (Showing my age) and stood next to some old prat with an oxygen tent stuck up his nose and continuously complaining about every single aspect of his big day out?........I'd tell him where to go too, just like I do with Alpine. The match day thread is my Saturday. Don't pee on it.
  22. This thread reminds me. I have a dripping tap that needs fixing.
  23. Can I claim your assist?
  24. Your written word makes nobody tremble, trust me. Dribble maybe, but never tremble.
  25. Did the Tater just call him Aston Martin? I think he did!!
