Top 5 best and worst player to play for saints in CCC
Arizona replied to Thedelldays's topic in The Saints
I said I didn't include players like Bacon Sarmi and Tejera who barely (if ever) played. Otherwise yes, everyone's list would be just Sarmi, Tejera, St Juste, SO'H and Mettomo. -
I only wish they'd redesign that appaling logo on the front. The mismatched shoulders I have sort of grown used to, but I will never buy a shirt that looks like it has one of the flybe ad hoardings from SMS nailed to the front.

Don't think wages will be much of an issue. II has been without a contract since he left here 6 months ago. They could offer him peanuts and he'd probably take it. At the time, signing II seemed like a good signing. However with hindsight it was a poor decision as he was never fit enough to build a midfield around. Best of luck to him anyway. His legs may have gone, but I don't think he lacked effort. I don't remember II as being that good under Pearson though. Against WBA he was awful, play just went right round him in the middle. It was a similar story in games like Scunny away.

Top 5 best and worst player to play for saints in CCC
Arizona replied to Thedelldays's topic in The Saints
I don't think anyone can honnestly put Niemi in their best CCC players list. Fantastic in his first 2 seasons, very good in the relegation season, but inconsistent in CCC. I'd go for Best: 1.Walcott 2. Bale 3. Baird 4. Rasiak (always scored goals when in the team) 5. Skacel (No seriously, can anyone name a time when he put in a string of poor performances) Hon. mentions to: 1. Pele - Would have been up their with Baird and Bale if he'd play ALL season in midfield. I'd have him ahead of MS if I'm honnest. Good ball winner, passer and very hard to knock off the ball. 2. Guthrie - Only got half a season here, but looked pretty good. 3. R. Wright - As above 4. Vignal - When I think we could have had a left flank of Vignal and Skacel last season, but instead had to endure JW and Euell... 5. Kenny - Crap first season, massive improvement second season. 6. A. Davies - What might have been eh. Worst (out of the regular culprits, not people like Sarmiento and Tejera: 1. Powell 2. J. Wright 3. Powell. Sh*t, said him already, alright er... Chris Makin. 4. DMG. I'm not writing him off, but we've had 3 years of intermittent gash from him. 5. Can't think of anyone else. My mind keeps going back to Powell. Actually, Vincent Pericard (Dis) Hon. Mentions to: 1. Euell. Looking much better this season, but his performances have been few and far between. Last season however he was a stallwart and was karp. 2. Brett Ormerod. Even after dropping a league, he still couldn't find the net. 3. Wotton. Really not that good. 4. Hammill. We've finally found the answer to a question that has plagued mankind for centuries, 'who ate all the pie!' -
It was cold and I was wearing a think black fleece with a small Saints logo on the front. Not one of those ghastly waterproofs with "flybe" in foot high letters on the back. Anyway, that doesn't really say much. I see loads of people walking around with football hats, scarves and jackets on when it isn't a matchday. The real kn*bs are the ones you see in a nightclub wearing their replica Man Utd shirts.

Is a sh*thole full of nutters. Don't go there. Today I saw 2 girls who couldn't have been older than about 12, screaming at a traffic light and a boy about 16 who shouted "aaaaaaagh Southampton!" when he saw the logo on my jacket. That is all.

I have been chief reindeer keeper and Charlie Bucket in the two school Christmas plays I can remember. I wasn't very good as the former because apparently all the reindeer were sick.

Indeed. Glad we got rid of those terrible nuclear plants that produced practically zero CO2 and replaced them with coal-fired power stations.

I'm not being narrow minded. I can see the need to accomodate ecconomic growth in the future, whilst still preserving the enviroment. My point is that the people at Stansted aren't going to achieve either, even if they do get what they want.
-
I can go one better than that, I get paid in Euros and live in UK. Result!

I can't work out whether you are a nutter or this is just a wind up. Either way, it's good fun. You are completely ignoring the fact that the environmental impact of aviation worldwide is only 3%. Every new generation of aircraft is typically between 20% an 50% more efficient than the aircraft it replaced, meaning we could increase passenger traffic by 20% over the next 20 years and have NO increase in carbon emissions So, you are saying trains and coaches don't cause any pollution at all. The increase traffic of people using bus and train links is going to mean more busses and trains, therefore more pollution. Therefore you are better off with the runway at Stansted, rather than more flights at somewhere like Coventry and having to shuttle them to London. I am all for conserving the planet, but the guys protesting at Stansted aren't achieving anything other than causing chaos. They are just narrow minded one trick pony's who do nothing to actually save the environment, just interupt everyone else's life. They are not going to achieve ANYTHING possitive by protesting at Stansted. Even if their dream comes true and no runway is built, they wont prevent air travel from expanding elsewhere. And even if they did, they could reduce worldwide carbon emissions from 3% to say 2.998% If it were people like you running the planet, we'd all be living in caves eating turnips singing Kumbaya.

Are you just pretending to have the intelligence of an 8 year old, or do you genuinely not understand the things I say? Incase it is the latter, I will explain it again for you... Yes we need to reduce costs and that involves getting rid of a lot of senior players. I do however think we shot ourselves in the foot by refusing to play any of players we were trying to get rid of. We just ended up with several unfit senior players still on the books and not playing. Euell, John, BWP and Skacel all left out of the team when had they been playing we would be better off AND have a better chance of loaning them out.
