Anyone else slightly concerned the new manager has indicated that we do not need anyone else in the rest of the transfer window? I thought the one good thing to come from him coming on board is that we may attract a couple of big name players which would enhance the squad this window which we may not have been able to get with Adkins otherwise seems very strange timing to do this??

Would tie in with a tweet I saw on one of the other threads where a Spanish (?) person had said two of his friends would get a new job tomorrow...

Not working. As much as I think Clyne is a good player and Gox has a good left foot they leave us exposed too much at the back time and time again. May work for the Uniteds, Man City's and Arsenal who have decent players to back it up but for a team where we are we need a solid back four. Keep clean sheets first. We have attackers and midfielders who can score. We don't need to lose half our defence every time we have an attack. The amount of goals we have shipped and the 2nd WBA goal goes so show we get rinsed on counter attacks. Something needs to be done. Aside from the Lambert shot on the bar (which was a lucky deflection) and his header on the first half we haven't looked like scoring at all and for a supposed attacking team that's very poor! Attacking mentality isn't working. Build a solid team. I'd rather see us nick the odd 1-0 and play solidly, like WBA have done tonight than see us score 1 or 2 yet concede 3,4 or 5. Sort it out, we're becoming the laughing stock of the league and the whipping boys

I thought I would try and look back through the records to see how many pages the Skacel affair took but sadly, I think this was before the whole history of the site was wiped a few years ago so I cant seem to find it. I think the easiest way to do this is to ban Hypo and DPS. Bed wetting girls seem to drag every thread down by continuosly *****ing and moaning about our transfer policy and how NA has said seomthing and not delivered on it. It is not even 1st September yet FFS! Seems very SSDD on here at the moment. Believe me, I want a new CB or two and RM as much as the next fan but there are some ****ing bed wetting pansies on here that seem to love the sound of their own voice bleating on about how NC shouldn't go on holiday and moaning that we are doing sweet FA because they haven't heard a made up rumour from Dave down the pub or ****ter.com in the last 5 minutes. You can bet you bottom dollar these same people wanting a signing, any signing ASAP would be the first people to ***** and moan if we settled for anyone and brought in a player who they didn't think was worthy but they equally don't have any patience to wait for us to bring in the right people. Chill out FFS there is still time, I'd rather wait and get the right player than bring in someone mediocre just to appease the bed wetters amongst us!

"The St Mary’s boss has so far brought in a striker, a central midfielder and a left back." Now my maths isnt the best but 1) Striker (Jay Rod) 2) Central Midfielder (Davis) and 3) Left Back ??? I can only assume it is Buttner but from the above it says 'already signed'?! Echo poor reporting or do they know something about it already being confirmed? I am pretty sure they are talking about Buttner anyway unless I have completely missed something?

Are they all stupid? You'd think they would have known their (ex) captain's name is Davis and not Davies?! They really do rate themselves don't they? They are a championship standard side who up until recently have been playing in a league which is a similar standard to an English pub team league. They are being relegated to a league no better than the Tyro league and wonder why their players are leaving?! Jeez! The only thing decent about them is the number of fans they have and their stadium!

Haha I used to work for ASG. Delusions of grandeur spring to mind. Distinct case of small man syndrome too and always love taking about his attempts to buy SFC and how Lowe was a **** (about the only thing I agreed with). Worst boss in the world ever and for that reason I am glad he had nothing to do with SFC. I am as ****ed off as the next fan but things to remember and hold faith guys, our confidence breeds confidence in the team. If we are nervous that 'fear' will not help the team... 1) We are still 4 points ahead of WHU with 5 games left, even if Reading do beat us, assuming WHU win, we are still a point above them. 2) We were beaten by 2 wonder strikes, yes they did play well and wanted it maybe a little more than us but they didnt out play us and save but those two strikes, they had no other real chances 3) We battered them in spells and their keeper kept them in it with a string of world class saves 4) It could have been so much different... Anyone streaming pre match build up on a site at the moment? I have tried all of the above links but cant see anything. Good luck! I am a mortgage advisor and valuations on property are the bain of my life. Unfortunately, whilst using things like the land registry and Zoopla will provide you with good material to agrue your case, a valuation on a property is based upon someones opinion. I have had a case recently whereby one lenders surveyors valued the property at £190,000 one month and another surveyor for a different lender valued the property at £180k only 3-4 months later. Thats a large decrease of circa 6%. This after an estate agent had valued the property at £200k and sites like Zoopla would tend to have agreed with this figure. The difficulty in valuing a house is that as mentioned it is based upon opinion which can differ from one person to the next, even if they have the same qualifications! The only way of knowing what a property is truely worth is seeing what someone is willing to pay for it. How often is it an Estate Agent will tell you the property is worth £200k but when you put it on the market you only end up getting offers of £180-£190k? Good luck in trying to get them to overturn their valuation but unless you can demonstrate that one or (ideally) more properties, extactly the same as yours has sold for a higher price within the last 3 months, it is almost impossible to get a surveyor to change their mind.

BTL's are still readily available but the fee's are often a lot higher (as are the rates) than residential mortgages. The majority of BTL mortgages are available up to 70 - 75% of the property value but there are a few available up to 80% and even 85%. As previously mentioned 100% mortgages are no more (and doubt they will be for a while yet with uncertainty over the economy and housing market) a few obscure building societies offer 95% LTV on purchases and one I believe on a remortgage (Skipton BS last time I checked) but the majority of residential remortgages are only available up to 85% LTV. As CS states, the only 100% mortgage on the market is through Aldermore and is a form of a first time buyer guarantor mortgage which is complicated and requires a family member to act as the guarantor. If you are looking at raising some additional cash, it may be cheaper (and a hell of a lot easier) to look at a personal loan
