Agree with that - social media is consuming my kids lives - sometimes it's good, but just the amount of time spent on it is breaking down real social relationships. As someone who spends a lot of time on here, I can't really complain. I think my teenage kids use Facebook to keep in touch with family, but they use Kik/Snapchat to exchange messages with friends and perverts.

Maintaining an interest in sports, pastimes and hobbies

Nothing like a bit of being smitten from your brainpan to your cods or however it went. I went on to read The Mabinogian, Andy McNab is my current favourite read. -
Good point, the finger goes up when Carroll cuffs his fellow ponytailer who has decided to play horsey. Horsey games seem to a bit of a theme - wasn't there one on Gereard this weekend?
-
To me, not just his eyes, but the way he hid his 'guilty' arm is all the body language you need to indicate he meant to **** the player. I think we neeed big lumps lile Carroll in the squad as well as sophisticated forward playmakers like SRL as well as swift younguns such as JRod. I'd be happy if all 3 were in the squad with Sturridge.

The beauty of disconnected messaging! Thanks for your concern, guess it's all out there now!

Hi Isla W, I put my email in the previous post - thanks for any help you can give me. tpalt01@gmail.com

Cheers, Beears. I'm flooded with propositions right now, best thing I've ever done!

Hi guys, I've pm'd ashley but am reluctant to publish my email address on the web, Isla. I do believe you are both genuine, but could you explain why I need to give you my email address? Is it a matter of you entering my details on the website with your userid, come the time? In any case, reluctance aside as this is a once in a lifetime opportunity for me, my email is tpalt01@gmail.com

I know there's a brazillion threads about getting tickets for games. What are the options for someone like me, arriving from Australia on 11th April, with about 10 weeks to go til the match? Our party would be at least me and my 12 yr old boy who wears his saints top to every training session, but maybe a few cousins and so on. Don't really want to go down the lounge/prawn option (if it exists - don't know). I suppose, if we are doing well, then it won't be easy to get tickets in the away end? - my most recent experience is Champs and L1, where getting away tickets at Burnley etc was never a problem. So does it boil down to trying to get tickets in the home end, or is there a process I can follow? I see tickets on offer here frequently - anyone know they won't be able to go to that game? (I guess it could be moved). Any hints, tips or suggestions gratefully accepted. Cheers, Tony

I live in Australia, and am a British citizen and I was able to sign. Perhaps not if you are not a citizen. I am still envious of Coventry clocking up 30 years in the top flight over our 27, and winning more cups, more recently. But both towns had the whatever bombed out of them in WWII and are similar in size and outlook, I would say.

Did 4 loads to the dump today (rubbish dump), took all day in 29 degrees. Covered in scratches and filth (as a consequence of all the stuff I was humping and lumping). Sat down at 7pm and downed two stubbies of cider. Superb feeling. Now I'm on the Big Bash, might also take in the T20 cricket.

Well, I'm in the exact same position with my unerupted widom tooth. I am looking forward to the pleasure of that hot fluid pumping into my mouth. One spelling mistake and repeated word in Bletch's last post, must be drunk.

Good innings, I think? Cheerio Pat, my Dad would've known about you.

There's a reason ratemypoo exists. Having a quality dump is a spiritual experience and can change your mood for the rest of the day. Equally an unsastifactory, non emptying poo will throw curses on your house.

I am devestated, my right Tuesday sock has a hole, as a consequence of my toe nail getting too long. I cannot wear socks with holes. I cannot darn the hole due to lack of experience. I want mummy to fix the hole before I KILL EVERYONE IN THE ROOM! -
Hmm, the club formerly known as Portsmouth have a recent cup - even during their current situation, they are able to look back on that cup and be (albeit hypocritically) proud of it. Just as Wigan (with less hypocrisy). Just as us, except it's been 38 years ffs. I think England fans have got over the fact that we won the world cup 48 years ago. So, wouldn't switch with Sunderland, but would love to get to the FA Cup final - we'd have a better chance than 2003.

Well, being in Australia, I have just watched the match in full. The only thing I would add is that the end of the game seemed to be a bit 'aqueaky bum', although we also had a couple of chance. Could've lost it quite easily, so fairly happy with the point, wish we could've got the 3 we were entitled to.

The liverpool game was the season when I went to most saints games. Was absolutley epic, but we were still worried that they'd get back from 4-1! Brings back memories of pre-match fry ups at the Apollo. We played great sometimes, but I agree, CN didn't have too much, I'm trying to remember if I was optimistic when Branfoot came in... thought at least the defence would be sorted!

At least Cortese got the train(ing) to run on time ;-)

But you'll need to pick X from this list: http://www.enchantedlearning.com/wordlist/nounandverb.shtml This is a genuine excerpt from the list, and I think quite apt: bear beat bend benefit blame -
Protect your liver whilst binge drinking - Get stoned.

Again, a lounge thread (sorry), at least from my point of view. Irrespective of the 'shielding' effects of pot vs alcohol, simply having pot (in whatever form) disinclines one (in my quite vast historical experience) to drink booze. The mice didn't have a choice in the matter - I've got ****ed and then stoned but not stoned then ****ed. That is probably due to the intense paranoia from getting stoned. That's when I like to be by myself and not kill anybody. It probably stems from fielding phone calls from the grandmother when I was home alone as a teenager. -
