I always think 'Remember Hull' when this topic comes up. They were top after a couple of months (memory fails exactly). Then they went down, I think the same season. Probably a few other examples - Norwich?

You built palaces in the sky,Bear, but they fell to the ground. Your public were watching, but like Jeffrey Bernard, you appear 'unwell'. Kittens will die as a result of the absence of a scouting report.

Well, nothing on goal

Enjoying the game, but we haven't threatened

Currie was MLT of his day, in terms of style - at least he made me follow Leeds as a nipper coz of the way he played.

To be fair, they do know how to spell defence, and identify that it is crap.

Looks like the game has divided opinion here, just like The Flintstones in the mid east. Those in Yemen don't like them, but the people of Abu Dhabi do.

Good work boys and girls, I've had to think rather hard about getting some of these recent jokes. Makes it all the more worthwhile in the end. Perhaps it's because it's 3am on a Saturday night/ Sunday morning. Wish I had a joke I could remember, apart from my life, obviously.

did we get 250,000 is the question.

An interesting conversation, from an outsider's point of view. It may be hysterical that people are worried about DDT, Genetically modified, vaccines, fluoride in tap water, fracking, pylon tumours, wireless fertility, pharma-military-government influence, resource exhaustion, mobile phone ear cancer, coast erosion, bee death. I would ask Guided Missle (non confrontationally) if there is anything he/she is not sure about on these topics? Where should we really stand on this? Using DDT/nicotoxins (or whatever they're called) seems like treating the symptoms rather than the cause. Maybe this is the most practical option, but that just means putting plasters on plasters doesn't it? So what is the cause? Well, certainly human nature, and human nature is to address an immediate problem rather than worry about the future. We're alll fkd, but hoping we die first before we have to deal with it!

I watched the Saints at St Marys in the couple of years prior to relegation. The atmosphere was dire, and there were loads of ManU fans in the home 'end' when we played them. They weren't hard cases, just ' soccer' fans wanting to watch a match, and there was no problems getting a ticket. It was like watching school football - after the Saints had been top div for 23 years. - it was during Lowe badness, but I hope we don't get to that position again!

Interesting article, I was wondering why there was a picture of him in an Arsenal kit at the bottom, until, oh...
-
Him, Banks, McBain, Vonnegut in recent times

Well, they were found in the end. In finding this out I read the bbc article about her retiring, which I wasn't aware of. Judging by the comments, 85% of the population hate her guts! I've been out of the country for 4 years, but I always thought she was well liked. What did she do to make so many people hate her?

Here I am trying to complete forms for my new job and I'm being confronted by bewbs all the time! I do believe Allison's are natural (and so muscular oh Allison, grip my etc etc) and the white bra lady's are false

From the BBC: A disappointing game .. a scrappy encounter ... a poor advert for the top flight. I have Saints spectacles on, but it wasn't that bad was it?
-
I will send my thanks if a) I can stay up and b) get a decent stream. Anyway, to contradict myself, thanks ART
-
I know this has been goneover ad nauseam, and I also know that if I do find a stream it will seize up directly before any goal and it will be jerky and frustrating the rest of the time. Despite that, I thought firstrow and wiziwig had been disabled somehow? I am in Oz, don't know if it is different over here

Lambert should be Rooney's England partner ahead of Carroll, says MLT
tpbury replied to stevegrant's topic in The Saints
Whoever wrote it, the meaning is inpenitrable and headache inducing. Like reading something from that robot of Battlestar Galactica. Gllglglglglglgllg -
Have you ever been this excited about a season kick off?
tpbury replied to chocco boxo's topic in The Saints
Parade - rained on - check! Chips - ****ed on - check! Dreams - crushed - check! Personally, I am excited, however I have to temper that excitement as I do not want to feel too upsest if we get dicked on Saturday. -
I've often thought it needed updating, as he looks a pit porky in the current pic.

Are people more interested in Wednesdays international now?
tpbury replied to ozzmeister's topic in The Saints
Having made it to 3am (aus time - Ashes rhythm), if I stayed awake another 2 hours, would I be able to watch the match? Or, I realise, it is tomorrow. :-( I will have to repeat tomorrow night. I can't recall a saints player ever making a real impact in an England game (pre 1980s), maybe oldsters can tell us when Saints were a force in th England team! -
I read that is El Khalej's tackle that effective ended his career. The article also contains this description of MLT, which I think is supposed to be complementary, but I don't really understand it! or Matt Le Tissier, the Premier League's own captive man‑child genius, trundling about in his bath-chair yawning out his calculus, his impenetrable higher maths in between eating Pot Noodles and reading Mr Men books
