Last time I downloaded something like that, ART, I managed to inherit a pop up malware thing. Can you confirm that you don't get all that? Maybe you have a better virus checker than me!

Announced he had terminal cancer a couple of months ago and is now dead. I always sought out his new books and would have liked to have met him because his writing made him seem such an insightful and humane bloke.

I'm going to the warm up vs QLD Reds this Saturday. As I've never watched Rugby live, I'm looking forward to it!

I've no idea, but I'm guessing a result of multiple infarctions. I thought there would be a candle lit vigil where his followers would weep and gnash their teeth, but I've seen nothing, making me think he was taken under the cover of (UK) dark.

I follow this board fairly closely and think I would have spotted a thread dedicated to the now (permanently?) banned Bearsy. I can only think he has been slotted during the night in order to minimize publicity. I would be quite glad if he was gone permanently, it would be like waiting for the new series of Dr Who when John Pertwee died. Some fresh ideas and new comedy approaches. Let's hope he doesn't come back as Sylvester McCoy.

SRL was released by Blackpool wasn't he then went into Beetroot factory? So, being released isn;t the end of the world

He's going to be a director, can't see how he'd be able to not poke his nose in. Moyes would just have to suck it up or walk.

Good work chum. I think writing is like singing, 'finding your own voice or style'. Bloke who does League1minus10 has an excellent, consistent 'voice'. For a blog, add a bit of how you feel, a bit of how the atmosphere was like, a few random observations, some humour. But the structure and length of the blog is great - keep it up and let us know more match reports!

I came out 'Emergent', a year and a half ago would have been 'Elite'. That's divorce for you. Anyway, form is temporary, class is permanent!

The "little things in life that really annoy you" thread

There are many spelling issues, but I don't recall anyone being picked up on the almost universal spelling of 'defense' on here. Also, my keyboard where I have to press the space bar after using a quote. Here in Oz, people often indicate right when entering a roundabout even when they are going straight ahead. This winds me up - why do they do this?? Having to work. Radio commentators (especially in tennis and cricket) who have jolly conversations when something is actually happening. You can here the crowd getting excited and they're chatting about what they have had for breakfast. Thanks for this thread, I feel better now -
And to give the other side, we once left our holiday cash at a restaurant on one of the main routes through France, to our amazement, the staff hadn't pocketed it and we picked it up the next morning.

I had to switch off and 'watch it on ceefax'in the last five minutes - I knew we weren't playing badly, but I just couldn't deal with the inevitable equaliser I thought was bound to come!

I agree with the S Davis voters. So effective, but below the radar. Adkins will know exactly how to deal with us, we can't play a pressing game against teams which are sitting back, so MP has to figure out a way of getting past Reading. Chuffed with the result, but would have preferred the points vs QPR, Wigan , Newcastle etc

a draw is a good result

The crazy Russians up a pylon have been posted before and I truly did feel sick watching them first time. Funnily, on the second time of asking, my reactions (despite ultra severe vicarious vertigo) are far more relaxed - I am no longer shocked. This means we can all overcome our fears by wathcing Youtube.

Clive Palmer, Aussie businessman (same as politician over here, business folks run politics over here, as in the UK), is a c()ck.

It's been a while since I've seen so many Full Members in one place.

as per RobM, it feels like you're putting your pride and joy into a rancid tart, but the X close buttons are normally reliable. Just have to put up with the pops ups now and then.

I wish I'd known thee word 'Jelq'when I was younger and used to play scrabble with my parents. Would have been ideal for picking up points in the end game. Might have had a bigger wang also.

Olives again. Tomatoes, mushroooms love em all but hated as a kid. However, the idea of eating seafood or any fishy stuff still makes me hurl. I can just about manage fake seaweed with non fishy sushi, but would rather they used something less sea-y.

Anybody seen saints themed ipod touch cases available - ie not iphone. Preferably Hong Kong knock off, but I don't think the saints shop does them anyway. Ta. ( It is in respect of an iPod touch 4, I am informed).

Well, I should think a maximum of one goal could feasibly be scored in the review period. If the original goal line/offside decision was legit in the first instance, then the breakaway goal is scrubbed. It never happened. Tough, but if the rule is implemented, that's the way it goes.

In Rugby League, they will often call the TV ref to check the ball is grounded for a try, but then if a prior offence is spotted (eg taking out a defender without the ball), then the try is disallowed even if the ball is grounded. This can take 3 or 4 minutes, but I guess the ball is dead anyway - again, in soccer a goal can be scored at the other end straight after goal line decision. What's to stop the ref playing on and then awarding the goal 2 mins later? He can signal that this period of play is 'Subject to Alteration' or whatever.
