  1. Since they put the strength back to 4.9%, I do actually like it! There are many mites, Aussiemite, promite, ****emite or whatever. Most are low quality. It is a long time since I had marmite, though interestingly bought some Bovril recently when I couldn't have solid food. Now that was a trip down memory lane!

  3. I'm not sure, but after 4 years in Australia, I think I actually prefer Vegemite.
  4. As Miltonaggro said, he is much more Sheringham than Carroll but has hard nut attributes as well .Well done Rickie!
  5. An ex of mine invited me to her corporate Box at White Hart Lane once. Ian Walker was in goal as I recall. Was a good game, nice approach play, both teams flicking it around nicely. The players were working their socks off and getting really sweaty. In the end there was a long ball and BANG! in the back of the net it went! Can't remember the score, it was only Spurs vs West Ham I think, pretty boring game.
  6. Bletch just made a comment about 'signing Brazilians' on the main board Charlie Miller thread. I think it is incumbent on the TMS 5 to make a snerky comment along the lines of 'I sign a Brazilian every weekend', or some such. I would myself, but it wouldn't be true, so in the interest of integrity one of you guys who shed sperm over shaved fannies on a regular basis should make the comment. Who's up?
  7. I have never heard the term 'beer snake' before. Was a bit shocked until I figured out what you meant! Draw looks best for England, but I suspect the batters will fk up.
  8. Are there some Saints there? = hearing OWTSGMI, with the correct accent....
  9. Wot, no wickets?!?! These England bowlers are ar5e!
  10. Rotten sounded a bit too posh even in 1978. However, it seems he was on the money with JS rumours, and not smirking about it. I liked to watch Jim'll Fix It, but never really liked it, compared to Dr Who or Generation Game, hope Brucie isn't next in line!! JS was cringey.

    Go home

There's two types of immigrants - gangstery who come over here and hook up with their ethnic gangster mates, and asylumy who hook up with their ethnic asylumy mates. My guess is that we see the most intelligent and industrious of both types, coz all the losers are getting murdered in whichever **** poor part of the world they have come from and don't have money to pay to get transported in cattle trucks for 140 hours. I think US, Europe (and Australia) need to understand this 'problem' is not going away. 'We' will have to become a lot poorer in order that all the poor bastards of the world become a little less dead. There's vastly more of 'them' than 'us' and the poorest farmer in the Punjab, the Stans or Somalia has enough access to media to be radicalised or to know where his next meal ticket is coming from, that is compared to living in ultra abject poverty.
  12. I recall a someone whose username begins with 'A' also did this. Trying to remember who it was now, but it was years ago. It was hilarious at the time. Oh yes.
  13. It seems the porn policy reflects accurately the battle fronts of WWIII (if it isn't nuclear)
  14. Don't like lizard tits, don't like lizard tits. Like pointy up tits and pineapples. Think wnakers are wnakers.=, but don't hold a grudge. Be good no infractions. Pointy up > lizard.
  15. Cheers to Ron, Marlene and TT.
  16. I will always have a soft spot for Reading. Having done 10 hours moving house in Croydon, I hightailed it to the Purple Toitoise (or whatever it was called) and got laid at a house party in the toilet. Not my finest moment, but enjoyable nevertheless1
  17. Grrrgh! For every well nourished unvaccinated western child, there are thousands of undernourished 3rd world kids who will die without medicine. Vaccination worked well in the 20th Century in the West and it can work for those poor kids in Africa/Asia. Don't know why we should hysterically prop up global Pharma companies by deciding that non lethal diseases (in well nourished western states) should be vaccinated against. Shut happens, but we don't all have to jump.
  18. quite poignant this, as my dad, based in Heage, Derbyshire as well as Perth Australia, just passed away. I was born in Nottingham, and there are loads of Saints fans in the midlands, I have tried to track down the website, but there is an active midlands Saints 'cell', will update later.
  19. When I first joined, in 1956, I remember only looking at the main board, and finding it entertaining. I dipped my toe into the Lounge (or whatever it was) and then became at first outraged, then strangley enticed, by the muppet show (or whatever it was). At some point I must have been bringing up kids, coz I didn't look for a couple of years. Then it was this place. So, basically, it's different but the same. Now, where did I put my teeth?
  20. Very chuffed for him. I felt more involved with the game as a result of him being Scottish, rather than say, Swiss. Coz I feel I have some shared history with Scots and I don't know anything about Switzerland. However, as a Spat, not completely overcome with emotion. Maybe it's age, but I wonder if I'd be that bothered if England won the world cup- in my twenties I would have been flying!. Never gonna happen anyway I suppose
  21. nice summary and interesting read sambosa. Each year stills makes a massive difference at that age, so to get that far was a big achievement.
  22. This thread is like the cult bit in Apocalypse Now. I'm guessing Bear is Brando.
  23. God, it's like being sat under the blankets in the away end and tutting at the ruffy-tuffys getting in fights with themselves.
  24. Really interesting topic. I confess to following Leeds/Liverpool maybe even Forest (anyone but ManU) in the mid 70's. It was always about Tony Currie to me, and maybe Kenny Dalglish / Birtles later on, plus random cup final players. I used to take the micky out of my dad for supporting saints. My older brother got it first and then I did. Saints is where it's at - it's not about glory, it's not really about cups - it's about the fact that Saints is your team, you DON'T have a choice. Now we're in Australia, my 11 year old knows more about the current squad and history than I do. Wears his Yellow to training and is proud to be the only Saints fan out of a hundred kids. His Grandad passed away last week, but that's 4 generations of my family that have supported the team through thin and thin since early 1910s. I'm dead proud of that!!! We get it!
  25. Thanks, ART. Might dip my toe in the water. I do wonder how so many sites offer a similar service, but many of them nip your toe!
