  1. Pompey bigger than Southampton shock: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_metropolitan_areas_in_the_United_Kingdom Portsmouth/Southampton metropolitan area 1,547,000 Portsmouth (500,000), Southampton (376,000), Bognor Regis (66,000), Salisbury (29,000), Winchester (27,000), Andover (26,000) If we can get Bognor on side, we'll be bigger than Pompey!
  2. I can't believe there is any work in Crawley(north of Winch)!!! The place is all horses and tudor. If you're working there, there is no chance of renting, I guess you have found that out by now. My family bought a house in (neigbouring but less salubrious Littleton for 43K in 1983), now it is selling for 1M. But it is true that you could live in Amazingstoke, or Whitchurch or Arlesford and have a very easy drive in (North of Winch).
  3. My 11 year old boy knows all about MLT and seen everything on YouTube related to him. I am not sure if he thinks he is a current player! It is easier to say MLT is our greatest player and then prove it on YouTube - not too much footage of Channon.
  4. It makes a difference which side of Winch you're working on. It is a pain to go through or around in rush hour. I suppose if you're doing 100 miles a day, you're used to long journeys anyway! Anyway, I grew up in Littleton and have fond memories of all those villages round there - Crawley, Sparsholt, the Worthys, Itchen Myarse etc.
  5. We did the pressing thing, but powder puff in attack is the best description. I will be very upset at 3m if we don't win this.
  6. two magnanimous-es in one thread, realised I have never spelled this word right! Anyway, it does feel like a friendly tousling of the plucky loser's hair and in turn get's on my wick a bit. And we do need to win at Wigan, which reminds me of the home game...
  7. You've got to account for us Aussie fans, doing the night shift. Good work Saintbobby, very funny!
  8. didn't adriansfc do a quite successful agony aunt page a number of years ago?? #adriansfcagonyauntpageyesiknowhashtagsdontactuallyworkbutiftheir weresomewayofalertinghimtothisthreadthenitmaybequiteinterestingalsotypingwithoutusingthespacebarisdifficultalsobletchmadeanotherspellingmistakewhichisquitepoorithink
  9. similar age spread to me, except without the extra baby - you must be mad or catholic. I did leave the house - permanently, Whenever my 13 and 11 year old are with me (with the 3 year old), I have to separate them like an umpire in a Japanese fighting fish contest.
  10. Good thread. I have 13,11 and 3 year old. The ankle biter limits what I can get up to with the older ones, but they go to soccer training proudly in their Yellows, welll before Saints became 'known'over here in Oz. All that 'being there' stuff is really important I think, even the bathing when they're young. But equally, when they're older and don't even see you on the sidelines at training, simply 'being there' is important - if 'Dad' wasn't there, it wouldn't make a big difference to the training, but it makes 'Dad' feel good (so long as he keeps his trap shut) and does make the bond.
  11. How would this make Dune feel?
  12. Could've crumbled after losing the fourth set, but Murray came through. This isn't a 'come on Timmy' situation, Murray's got a real chance. Djockovic isn't invulnerable, and Murray knows it. Feil like Neil Allen now.
  13. Having said all that, a TSW scrabble forum would be a jolly good idea! #saintsscrabble #ilikeyourpostsbutamnotsurewhetheryourementalystable
  14. Licka - breast. Snarf.
  15. Frequency (Denis McQuaid) is on tv here- remember picking this as a random years ago, don't recall seeing any pulicity about it at all. Anyway, I am watching it again, and yes, I seem to have got something in my eye!
  16. Thanks for this thread - I am cutting and pasting titles into my local libraries reservation site as I speak. I like Peter James and Mark Billingham's detective series (Grace and Thorne), so the Macbride series interests me. However, I have a fear of not beginning at the beginning and he seems to have written a few. Do all his books feature the same characters and thus require reading in sequence? Which is the first in the series Chapel and Bletch are discussing. I really like Richard Harris'stuff, but struggled with Lustrum - never finished it - maybe give it another go!
  17. Couldn't cringe my way through all 100, but pretty funny. "Roses are Red, violets are blue, I suck at chat up lines, nice tits" - quality.
  18. Well, yeah but no. I was looking for a more interactive experience, not really involving pornography. A bit like Saintsweb with news, discussion and banter but not all about Saints. After all, I can spend hours on here if I missed a couple of days, but a vvank will only occupy a few minutes, if that, especially if I've missed a couple of days.
  19. For one reason or another I spend quite a lot of time wasting my life looking for updates on this forum. On days like today, I find I have got 'up to speed' on pretty much everything - transfer speculation, immigration and masturbation. This leads me to speculate that 'other boards' may be out there, where bored people type stuff. Doesn't have to be football related, but let me know if there's other places where I can spend my online time! Thanks!
  20. Luke Shaw looks exactly like a mate of mine who is 42 and hasn;t aged since 17. That's 25 more years we can get from him!
  21. Maybe they do, maybe they don't - what does the language they speak have to do with it? In the same article, a reference is made to a childs CO death in the New Forest - what language did the parents speak?
  22. I say 'established' is more than 25 continuous years in the top flight. By that reasoning Villa are established, but I think Cov (and us) are the only ones recently!
  23. A neutral looking at this score would say 3 points to Saints. No one here does.
  24. tranmere, leeds
  25. I will take this opportunity to ask a question which may help overseas and non overseas 'streamers'. When going to firstrow, I was advised to download 'Sopcast'. I believe the idea is you don't get confronted with so many vociferous pop-ups. It seems to work. Why? What is it? I have absolutely no idea. In the past, watching firstrow was basically impossible as you had to fight thousands of porno / betting popups, now it is less regular, vicar. But what has Sopcast done to the soul of my computer?
