Almostmidnight in the UK (I think) and Xmas day well underway here in Oz. Off to see the kids and wishing you all a peaceful and happy day, even if past experience makes it seem unlikely!
-
All Lambert should do is smoke a rollie at the far post and we put play through the other side. He's taking out 2/3 players just by being on the pitch!

No evil person believes they are Christian? It is impossible to believe in God and not be evil? Richard I (or maybe II, or III - can't quite remember, doesn't really matter, there's plenty of historical genocides in the name of a Christian (Christianity not unique!) God) was quite happy to kill pregnant women in the name of his God.

The graffiti used to be: 'Jesus Saves, but Macari (fill in any other 70s player) scores on the rebound!' I think generally that Jesus lived a good life, doing good things. He was pretty cool, but then again my understanding is pretty much informed by the child's bible and Jesus Christ Superstar. God always struck me as a bit ..unpredictable, not a captain I would necessarily respect. Incidentally, I am not sure that hot places (eg Australia), have historic midwinter festivals (ie in July - when it can get to 0 at night in most places but is normally 20 or so in the day). Not exactly hard living requiring a festive celebration.

So then ........BBC News presenters .............would you ??????

link looks like sexslavetank.com, possibly indictable. -
This is a sound bloke, but I am sure he would have ****ged girls 30/40/50 years ago. Have to define 'girl'. Have to understand the change of women's 'emancipation' in the 60's compared to recalcitrant blokes' attitudes. The 60's are often presented as a massive social change, my opinion is that perhaps 20% of the youth were acting 'differently'to before. If you were 16 in 1963, you would be 65 now - I'm sure there are plenty of 65 year old swingers and deviants, but most of the 65 year olds I see are exactly like regular 'old biddies'

That's very sad. I seriously doubt whether he'll be implicated in the JS stuff, but it is a fact that every celebrity from that era is effectively under suspicion. He wasn't a complete tool like all the celebs that have been fingered by the inquiry, so I will remember him fondly.

be I've stayed up to 3am to watch this! We closed out a really essential game without effing it up! This is a top performance. Be happy!!! 1

I have done as you suggested, but am only getting redirected to Bet365, admittedly only for table tennis. How does wiziwig interact with sopcast?
-
That's exactly the point as far as I can see - the 'features' we do are in the data warehouse. We're being encouraged, rightly so, to see the end-to end benefit of 'new' data being presented to the customers and this makes us work more closely with our 'Front End' team (ie Cognos). We're to migrate to Nitezza - great! The difficulty is - we have to 'work like google', but no fkr has told us how google works. We can cope with the fact that we're not really 'rapid', we can cope with the fact that we're fairly 'Agile' (equates to making last minute changes), what we (I) can't cope with is we're tasked with having to invent an entire new organisational structure with no reference basis. I'm looking for other people who may have been through the same. Obviously SaintsWeb came to mind - this is probably my last since I can't do PayPal - bring on Google Wallet!!!!
-
Ha - we've been 'Agile' for a couple of years - this is the step beyond - I'm not sure whether the bean bags come first or last.
-
I wonder if any of you have experience of this. I work in 'software' (loose description) in a fairly staid bank here in Oz. Management is looking to implement a 'Google' style working method which involves re-arranging the way we work along the lines of how Google people work. Does anybody have any experience of this stuff? In many ways it can be described as same p1ss, different bottles, in any case if 'we' don't buy into the method, then we're toast. Problem is, we're being asked to reinvent ourselves (don't have a problem with that) in a way where we have no actual paradigm to follow! Basically - we're told 'Change!', but we have to figure out how to change It's all terribly exciting, but the fact is we have to come up with ideas of how to change (for change's sake) and I don't really have any. This is why I am asking you guys to contribute to my career (or ending of it). And we're called 'Feature Teams', although we don't have a public 'feature' interface, we're basically back-end (nurse). Your suggestions please!

If YOU could give Nigel Adkins one piece of advice; what would it be

Sounds like we need a mens shed thread. FWIW, turned up my ex's dating ad today. Fact is, I don't really care, hopefully the alimony will go down. Would be gutted to have to keep shelling out to keep her and a new bloke comfortable. Just want the kids to have a nice life.

Time sto chuck the hamburger out the window and stick the siren on the roof.

Tokes and Bears, have you looked into this already? The 'new' poster is mighty fine, but exhibits some sand and cheese tendencies. Would love a genuine new controversial contributor, so long as it isn't Stanley.

This is why saintsweb is better than POL. How many Oxbridge can they muster? COYR!

The members of this board are by and large kind and trustworthy, however, if I were you I'd pay the 5GBP and join up full time so you can send an IM. This is what I keep trying to do, but then I realise you have to have a PainPal account, and I can never get that working. Bring on Google Paything thing!

Practically any booze fuelled fight gets big headlines here in Qld, Oz, stuff that would happen routinely every week, every day in any town in England. I might live in a sheltered area of Brisbane, but when I see pictures of a 'nothing' punch up between some teenagers 60 miles away as the top story, I realise that this society is not as bust up as the hard streets of e.g. Ramsbottom or Winchester. A six pack of 5% beer (=2litres) costs $15 = 10GBP. Bottle of generic Vodka, maybe $30 = 17GBP. These prices are killing my alcohol wish, but I think are a deterrent to teenage (and adult!) boozing. I can see an increasing move towards 'bundling' in order to discount for bulk purchases, which will only lead the Aussie teens to follow the tracks of their UK counterparts. On the other hand, whilst social divisisness is alive and wellin Australia, there is still quite a strong community feeling.

Rickie on the bench? **** it, I've had enough, Adkins out.

Look, on any bw hysterical thread, my point of view is "It'll be reet". And I stand by this. -
I shouldn't think many aren't aware of http://www.boners.com/ , which hasn't been updated for a while. If you've never visited, there are thousands of equally variably funny pictures there.

Very funny!!! Somebody post the picture where someone interlocks their fingers (with a dual hand perpindicular Spock). Also, this link is quite funny - somebody tell me how to get it up. https://encrypted-tbn2.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcQXXPnaTP5rvG9hHI0QO5niAj58DYQwoVrY9Vwtg5hnskdr-Hs5

Well if you were a mollusc (sub category cephalopod) expert, you would surely have mentioned that the Octupus's penis (which is arm number 3), frequently falls off and is regrown You would have differentiated between a penis and its hectocotylus. By the way, when I create the funny sad people thread, I will be a Data Analyst - checker of facts. Except I wont fall into the funny bit.
