  1. Thanks b3, but don't confuse me with kp!
  2. Interesting as this wiki article has Netherlands 23 places above United Kingdom in the population density stakes. http://simple.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_countries_by_population_density Historically, Netherlands is small, but with a 'busy' lifestyle, but those cities you mentioned are still quite big, with the exception of Leiden maybe. If we excised Scotland from UK, we would have an even denser population, though possibly not, in the geographically proximate view. (sorry, couldn't help unrequired jibe!)
  3. My member(ship) is full! And no-one can claim it as I have been trying damn hard to get this for a long time. I have finally figured out Paypal, which I see as a pernicious and obstructive payment method which Stevegrant should avoid.
  4. I'm definitely celebrating all over Kim. As 99% of the members here are male, I'm not sure swingers' club is really what I'm looking for. If this post works, I am a full member!
  5. Happy (recentish) birthday Kym (Kim?). As a fat bloke in his 40s, on a scale of 1-10, I would give you 1. Indeed, I'm more than willing to explore this end of the market. I recently did, and it was going well, but sadly she died, falling over ****ed (i wasn't there at the time, but it's an occupational hazard). I am not so cavalier as I make out, but has anyone else noticed that there's a lot of fit kids of the 50s/60s who are full of energy looking for some fun?
  6. Germany 5x bigger than UK - really? http://overlapmaps.com/index.php Country Population density (km2) Population United Kingdom 255.6 243,610 62,262,000 Germany 233 357,021 81,799,600 In any case, an interesting discussion, UK is maybe more centralised, but UK regions are similar to other European and worldwide regions in identifying with the region before the country. (PS perhaps you meant US 5x bigger than UK which sounds about right, population wise)
  7. I'm interested in this subject: 1) My parents were both teachers (from the 60s to the 00s - ie lifelong career teachers) 2) We went on 3 week holidays in Europe in the summer and camping at Easter and visiting family at Christmas and maybe Whitsun - saw many museums and art galleries I didn't appreciate at the time) 3) They educated me by default, my older siblings educated me also 4) It was frickin good having teachers as parents 5) The theory of teaching has changed as most teachers in the last 20 years are ill educated and will use iPads etc as default 'handouts' 6) Passionate 'educators' still exist, and they are good at their job 7) Taking your kids out of school is not a crime. Unless you take them out to make your life easy. Let them enjoy themselves, but educate them yourself in social skills. (I have taken mine out of school a number of times and they've had a great time, but teaching them about working together as a family in that holiday period is the best education a kid needs. Even when the parents are separated :-))
  8. yeah, leagueoneminus10 is a must read for me also. He doesn't get many comments on the blog but Billy/Glen must know via web stats how many people (from all round the world) read his stuff. He writes as a 'normal' fan with a lot of wit and insight - so keep it up mate!
  9. Webjet are ok, but they chuck loads of admin fees on top, which makes their advertised price a bit false. Could try Fligtcentre.
  10. SRL needs a slimmer version, and as I'm sure has been mentioned in the past, the scorer of the goal which won our only major trophy should be up there. Otherwise, I'd put Danny Wallace there and maybe even Shearer - whilst a boring pundit, those who saw his goodbye 'announcement' at The Dell considered him a legend.
  11. This debate has happened before and I made an inarticulate response, just like I will do now. Firstly to Norwaysaint - are you saying there is no social/racial antagonism present in Norway? I get the idea there is a lot of fascistic groups in Scandanavia- Norway is an exception? Secondly, those of us born in the 60's and 70's (ie with a quite close connection to WWII - this war informed our lives as it would have indelibly imprinted on our parents, teachers, media and business people who were running the show 20 years after the end of the war). So we have the pink 'imperial'map of the world, the notion that Britain is best (and not s hit) - absolutely, unswervingly believed by the vast majority. This arrogance was articulated through football - 1966 reinforced it and it has taken 50 years for the UK to realise it is not the best in the world. It was once, if dispossessing native people of they're assets is a measure of success.' Now I've lost my train of thought, it is probably related to the perceived crapness of foreign goalkeepers in the 70's, and that is why 'we' are best coz of Shilton, Jordan and Banks.
  12. Barry, any chance you can make Beddley Wetterton your new avi?
  13. Sterling work, BBB. As a Littlewoods catalogue fan in the 80s (sod the toys daddio, I'm grown up and want to see the underwear section), my preferred models were the ones where you could see (with the aid of a magnifying glass, and that's difficult when you're trying to keep the page open with a foot) a tantalising bit of 'hair'. All these recent pictures steer away from erotic transluscence towards a gusset guard, which seriously disappoints me.
  14. I absolutely loved the Professionals when I was a kid and Who Dares Wins was quality. 67, after 5 years of cancer apparently. Da da da da DaDaDaDa!
  15. Didn't look to be running well - hamstring I think for Carberry. The key point that the commentators make is that Johnson and Harris have 30kmh speed over Anderson, Broad and Tremlett. Which is pointless if not directed well, but they clearly had good aim today.
  16. Rise and shine chaps, we are being cooked rare on a flaming bbq! Be lucky to get a hundred!
  17. It kicks off tomorrow! No-one interested?
  18. For the benefit of future programme seekers, my mate got it from the Stadium store, a few days after the match. I don't know how long they hold back copies, but clearly they do for a period of time. Will meet my mate Phil next Easter and buy him a pint!
  19. Cheers Colinjb, my mate got hold of the programme, don't yet know how, but will post here for the benefit of future overseas/north of Watfor fans!
  20. By his name, I assume he is Alsatian. So is Wenger. So, Monsieur lavez les Fenetres, is there a footopolitical bias against this germanic bit of France?
  21. Thanks for that - I'll ask my one remaining Hampshire based mate to have a look (I'm in Oz).
  22. Bumping, in the hope that someone has an idea! Ta

  24. Hi, Anyone know how to get these? Can't find anything on the saintsfc website, and not any joy from websearch. I submitted some words about my dad who died in June to go into the programme for 'All Saints Day' (yesterday's game). I've emailed the club, but you people may know an easy way! Thanks.
