  1. I see that from starting with a claim for $6 billion dollars against google and rejecting a pretrial offer that would have netted them millons at least the judge has now ruled decisively against Oracle and the most they can now get is $150,000 over the only guilty vote relating to 9 lines of trivial code. It appears Oracle had not counted on having a judge that not only had previously done some programming but actually taught himself java to better understand the case. http://www.guardian.co.uk/technology/2012/jun/01/oracle-google-case
  2. a history most clubs would rather not want to match.

  4. Thanks. I have used it and it has come up as an extra month for me at least. Now waiting to see if I get tracking on the quidco cashback. Money back on that has now gone up to £20 so will be a bit annoying if that gets declined as obviously worth more than the extra month but worth a try. .... Quidco now tracking but will probably not know for a month or so if it is rejected or not.
  5. I would guess that one of the lesser spotted co-administrators is going? Who knows? Maybe they will send a cardboard cut-out of linvoy primus?
  6. Apparently Birch is not going the meeting which is either supreme confidence or he is a very good poker player.
  7. With quite a few film that I would like to see coming out this year have decided it would probably be worth investing in a cineworld unlimited card. However being the skinflint that I am I want to try and get the best deal. At the moment there appears (outside of being a student) to be 2 ways to do this: 1) Using the money back site quidco to get £15 back after a few months. 2) Getting a current card holder to 'recommend' you where both you and they get an extra month. Decided I would like to try and do both. Its possible their system may complain and only allow one but don't know till you tried! Having tried one relative (apparently not bothered) and one friend of the wife (out the country) is there anyone out there who currently has one who fancies, possibly, getting an extra month for free? All you need to do is go here: https://www.unlimitedcineworld.com/uk/pages/recommendafriend.aspx enter your number and email address to get your unique code. Post your code on this thread and I will try and use it. Who knows maybe others will as well?
  8. See most of the blue few on twitter are being too distracted by trying to win the 30k for the fan power stadium thing to worry about anything else.
  9. Whilst at the same time as not paying their players http://www.portsmouth.co.uk/sport/pompey/pompey-past/pompey-boss-calls-for-swift-conclusion-to-ownership-bid-1-3899724
  10. I thought the money from selling Ward to palace was going to be enough to pay this months wages?
  11. It says something that we would all be more surprised if they had been paid.
  12. I think its possible they 'could' get away with it but there are a few tricky hurdles they have to get over before anyone can say for sure that they have. No point asking if they have got away with it till after the league meeting and takeover and CVA agreement.
  13. Somewhat bias poll as the only reason that could be chosen for not going is 'out of principle'. As to Chainrai I am sure the results are not at all unexpected given the level of love for him expressed in their charming placards.
  14. Why be paid a ridiculous amount to play League 1 football when you can be paid a ridiculous amount to not play league 1 football.
  15. "here's my reference from Rupert" "fine, in you come"
  16. and has been charged with Perjury. Could get 5 years or more in one of the lovely scottish prisons. http://www.guardian.co.uk/media/2012/may/30/andy-coulson-charged-with-perjury
  17. I think most of them are able to write off the loses against tax? Something else to annoy HMRC about the whole thing.
  18. Most of the creditors from the first CVA have probably given up the will to live on seeing anything from that.
  19. http://www.portsmouth.co.uk/sport/pompey/pompey-past/trust-brings-in-finance-expert-to-aid-takeover-1-3896591 No information in the article about who exactly is going to be paying him. One assumes one of the wealthier backers as they can't use the money pledged for shares.
  20. and I am sure those with lifetime season tickets will forgo them and buy normal season tickets to help support their club.
  21. That is some cut!!
  22. Does anyone know if its documented anywhere what pompey have to show at this meeting to allow them to continue into next season?
  23. More to the point Chainrai's whole plan rests on getting rid of the high earners. Will he go through with his planned takeover if they can't be shifted?
  24. One suspects they have been told that they will be kicked out if they don't pay up so though technically they may not have been given the boot the writing is surely on the wall.
  25. My opinion is that it has had a larger effect on transfer fee's that wages. As clubs are sure to get the money in the end they are happier to sell players for higher values in installments than for a single up front fee. As for wages I feel that is more down to competition between the big clubs who will probably never experience an insolvency event but that those wages then set the standard for the wage expectation for players in lesser clubs.
