Leaving Nathan out of it for now. It's hard supporting a team where half of them don't appear to care too much about playing for the shirt. Hope that is going to change. As it stands, we have every right to be moaning especially on a Mong board as Turkish used to call it

Perfect summary of Nathan
-
I know. From about min 29 it is a mini life story, let's talk about me. Like an old grandad you don't want to go near when you were a kid because you know he is going to tell you all his old war stories for the next 30 minutes. Narcissistic - he is very much at the centre of his universe - everything is filtered through that lens
-
He says we are good tactically and we just need to score more goals than opposition
-
The questions asked at the presser were good. He is either not very good at articulating particulars about his strategy and thoughts, or he doesn't know what he is doing 🙂 On another note, 95% of it was about him, not the team, which is very sad.
-
wallies wouldn't admit they are a wally. Nathan is the sort of guy who says he has only ever been wrong once, and that was when he thought he was wrong about something

Amended the lyrics to the Nathan Jones pop song- Oh winter's passed, spring and fallYou never win, you never drawNathan Jones you've been here too longHere too long

every time i read these Jones quotes it just makes my blood boil. I'd instantly sack anybody who says stuff like that because it demonstrates complete lack of awareness and no willingness to address issues to improve things. It's defensive behaviour designed to stop him having to confront issues (because he thinks it would reflect personally on him if he acknowledges there are issues and also because he has no clue what to do to address those issues)
-
Agreed, which is why I'm so glad Nathan tried so hard to get us into the cup final with his excellent tactics vs Newcastle the other week
-
thing is, i have no problem with city cheating if it means the scousers don't win the league
-
There is no reason for him to be interested at all, especially if he has to pick the team he's told to pick as the welsh wonder seems to be inferring is happening
-
Why have I got a horrible feeling it is not happening? Someone please reassure me
-
This will make a great start to the Hitler script we were talking about yesterday.
-
I honestly think we'd do better without a manager than with Jones. Even I could do better - e.g. You're a left back so you play at left back, you're a right back so you can play at right back. Right lads if you give it your all but we still lose, I have got your back so don't worry. How about that?

Absolutely no point in giving him another game, even in the unlikely event we win. Needs to be gone on Monday

There would be a fair amount to sort out before sacking him - legal position, monetary position, comms, what's the succession plan, players to be informed etc etc, Monday feels right. I'll keep my fingers crossed anyway

Aggressive and front foot whatever that means 🤷♂️🤷♂️

Says it all fellas

He has to go. This will only get worse. He won't turn this round. If he had any sense of moral decency he would walk of his own accord. When you get owned like that on MOTD, your number is up and you're a dead man walking.
-
I couldn't be arsed to watch MOTD, care to elaborate on what Wrighty said?
-
Leaving the football to one side, Jones is concerning. I believe Chris Sutton said tonight he "makes things up as he goes along" I don't believe he is emotionally up to the job and on that basis I don't think he should be in the spotlight running a (not for much longer) premier league side

Brentford 3-0 Saints - Match Thread

hmm. I tell you what Che could do with learning about being on the front foot. How many times does he get caught on the back foot and then not able to get on the end of half chances etc -
failure is useful if you learn lessons from it. Unfortunately, as you can see from his presser today, NJ is not humble enough to look inwards and do the hard work that is required to learn from failures

It is so bad I would take Hasn't a clue back right now
