I'll grant you it can't have harmed VVD to have RK managing at the time - one of the best defenders to play the game. Highly debatable to say the current clown would have helped him much - he would probably start playing him at LB 🙂 He was already immensely talented and was a £70m player in all but PL experience. We gave him the platform to prove his credentials and he took that opportunity and never looked back.
-
Serious question for you - why do you persist in defending RH? In all my time as a supporter I have never known a manager who has the propensity to deliver such embarrassing results every season and for long runs of losses. I don't think the squad is bad - how does he keep putting out sides lacking even in basic tactics and fight? Surely it is time to roll the dice and get somebody else in.

Is Gareth Bale the best ever British player?
Golac's Cunning Stunts replied to benjii's topic in The Saints
When I saw the title of this thread I immediately thought of Ballie. What a special special player he was. The influence he had on the Saints team, even in the twilight of his playing days was immense. All one touch, clever, quick, always thinking 2 passes ahead. Made football look very simple = definition of a man at the top of his trade. What I wouldn't give to see Ballie play again. -

Wow I'm flabbergasted by that team. Most important game of the season and the muppet picks that team. We're not even playing 2 recognised centre backs. Fuck off Ralph - you obviously don't care about us fans -

Talking of wearing a different kit, does anyone know why we played in white shirts v Cov in the last round? -
You love your sarcasm don't you. To try and be clearer, the post I was replying to paints a really rosy picture of our ability to source a top quality striker. I am disagreeing with that picture. Fully understand all clubs will buy a dud at some stage. And I hope we will find a good solution especially with the takeover potentially adding some funds and some extra brainpower.

I get that things are working out well now with Broja. However, he is a one season loan deal. Our scouting identified Armstrong as the permanent replacement for Ings and that is not going well. Armstrong may still adapt and we may (probably were) forced into the choice through lack of funds. To say trust the club on finding a replacement is a bit too rosy picture for me.

For those over 40, a trip back memory lane
Golac's Cunning Stunts replied to Southamptonsi's topic in The Saints
2 random memories I have of Ceefax: 1. Trying to make a deal with God along the lines of "if saints score by the next refresh, I will do (random good thing) 2. I once "watched" a whole day's Ashes test from Australia through the night by watching the score refresh on Ceefax..Didn't want to disturb the mrs by having the radio on -
I know it's non-Saints related but the biggest travesty of those two dominating the England midfield was Paul Scholes being overlooked

It's interesting. Money always talks and they now have shitloads. They will attract good players. I'll be interested how the scousers plan out their next few seasons as Salah and Mane start to age. Be interesting to see how they plan to replace Salah. I think fourth place is a realistic target. Spurs managed to break in there for a few seasons, Leicester did it. Not beyond possibility that Liverpool start to drop a bit - Arsenal and Man U are examples of it happening.

Odds of you getting reported do not reflect the likelihood this event happening. They reflect the amount of money placed by punters reading this thread and bookies trying to make as much money as possible. These odds do not reflect the likelihood of you getting reported in any way. Odds mean nothing.

you mean he's a good footballer 😃

Absolutely spot on! He should have it has his profile pic. Now, I wonder who the forum David Brent is...

Saints v Newcastle (Maybe) — Build-up
Golac's Cunning Stunts replied to SuperSAINT's topic in The Saints
Beh’eddie Howe says its for football reasons, so all good! -
Think you have your Saints coloured spectacles on here! Sorry but money talks. Newcastle will soon become a very attractive option to players, just like Man City did when they came into their fortune. Everton may be a shit show currently, but they are pretty much always going to be a more attractive option to us. Wolves, Leicester and Villa all currently looking a better option too, but that's the level we should be aiming to get back to (as we were before).

It has probably been discussed on here in the reams of threads, but i thought Ralph's suggestion of not allowing players purchased in the window to play in any games initially postponed before the window was a fair one.
-
I get the evolutionary / rivalry aspect to it - football is so exciting exactly because of that. Therefore, we take the taunts etc, but also give it too. Simple!

I was there for the play off game and I remember their cuntish fans so f**k them and hope they get relegated
