  1. When my Dad died I was going through his old photos and I found one of him posing next to Duncan's grave. Was a big deal back in the day. Such a shame.
  2. Yeah I get what you're saying about passion. It's ultimately why we all love this team even though they bring us such heartache. I get Fergie passion, I get Ralph shows passion. I get falling to your knees and crying because you just won the FA Cup Final. I don't get falling to your knees blubbing because you just beat the scousers 1-0 at home. It looked like weakness to me and I'm sure Klopp took it that way. A better show of passion would have been to go up to klopp and tell him this is what you get every time you come here. (unfortunately not the case given the woeful performance against their second string a few weeks back)
  3. That's about right. On our excellent runs it really is 9/10 But the long dismal runs are probably 1/10. Can't be bothered to look up all the bad records he holds (mlg will do that) but off the top of my head - record loss in PL (and done it twice) Saints record for most number of games in a row without a win? Was there something about largest number of goals conceded away from home in a calendar year? And something else about most number of points dropped from a winning position? And the most unforgiveable one of all: blubbing when he beat Klopp
  4. There are tools you can use that show you real time Twitter feeds. eg, set up a feed on the hastag #saintsfc and it shows all the tweets with that hashtag in real time. Tweetdeck is one such tool
  5. Number of lives Hasenhutll has used up. Two to go
  6. Yeah, not suggesting we would change - we are obviously going full-fat Ralph ball
  7. You fishing Turkish 😂 Someone will bite no doubt
  8. The stars are all aligning for another raid on us by the scousers. Watch out for any of our lads taking pleasure rides in blackpool and eating fish and chips with a geezer with shining gnashers
  9. This brings back all the bad memories from last season. I had already started to forget...as have some others on here I fear
  10. Any suggestions for those type of players? Of course you neglect to mention that really good players can adapt to any style of play, but I agree the average player we have bought in the past few years can't
  11. Wow, that is extremely generous. Out of interest, one thing to try when asked to rate something out of ten - ban the use of 7. It forces you to go 6 or 8. Whatever we all think of him, this is last chance saloon for him so we'll see what happens.
  12. No joke about it. The guy is a clown but thats for a different thread.
  13. yes. Don't forget #noholdsbarred 🙂
  14. Didn't realise that - wow. You do know mlg will be salivating as he fact checks this statement don't you?
  15. Such a shame it will be wet spam. I don't know enough about the Chelsea team and how they play, but on face value I don't know why they don't keep him and give him some game time. Perhaps he doesn't suit their style but he can't have done any worse than Lukaku last season
  16. I really think Broja will be a cracking player. Still young, still learning. Would love him here on a FTC
  17. We've been through this before - it's because they come from a club where it means more
  18. do you mean the one who professes he can "see things others can't see"? I mean, to be fair how are you supposed to compete against that? 😉
  19. Can't see why the lad would want to comer here to play cover when he would be a starter for Fulham or Forest for example. FB does seem about the only position that actually doesn't need substantial investment.
  20. Couldn't agree more. I find it bizarre, like you're being discriminating by pointing out it's women's football or women's cricket. Football is for every human who wants to play it regardless of sex, age, race, ability etc. I'm absolutely all for that. It's just that I am not interested in following women's football and it is annoying to almost feel tricked into clicking on these links
  21. Agreed, with the other 50% being Scousers FC
  22. Excellent - thanks for this - genuinely helped. Probably helps to explain why we did well for a few years after promotion too
  23. One thing I can't work out is our lack of financial clout, given we have been in the prem pretty much solid apart from a few years of exile. Perhaps it's because the prem isn't the promised land as everyone tells us and the promised land is actually just finding a mega rich owner
  24. Attracted you as a fan for one
  25. All seems a bit bizarre this one really. He's 25, plodding along in some third rate league. We pick him up and likely instantly loan him. Not criticising as such...just my limited brain can't really follow the logic of this
