  1. A new manager would absolutely make a difference Surely the amount required to pay the muppet off isn't that significant when compared to the price of new players? Maybe I'm wrong, but it would be money well spent in any case
  2. Here's an example where you did exactly that. You spouted some bullshit and when you were proved wrong you disappeared
  3. He is never going to get silly money so what exactly are you thinking when you say "if he is backed" - if we are lucky we might get one or two better signings than in previous years, but there isn't going to be some sort of revolution if that's what you're thinking? As to "separating my overall disappointment from need to blame the manager" - I get that the squad is poor, however I see this narrative more and more on here recently: "it's not Ralph's fault it's the players" - truth is probably somewhere in the middle I guess. Ralph absolutely does need to be held to account - he's paid handsomely to figure this shit out and he is failing miserably with clueless tactics, inability to react when things are going south, inability to coach a defence, inability to motivate, going on long losing streaks, conceding goals for fun. The football is dismal, passionless, predictable. So yeah, I do blame Ralph for that.
  4. This is wishful thinking. He will go if the right money is put up for him. It's not really his decision if the club wants to cash in on one of the few saleable assets they have. Plus, if the right opportunity came, I'm sure he's ambitious enough to want to take it - eg chance to play with a team in Europe, chance to play in a team that gives him a higher chance to make the World Cup squad etc. The days of club loyalty are pretty much over (if they ever really existed in the first place)
  5. agreed. I wouldn't spend 1 penny on a team being managed by ralph. Get rid. This team is better than the shocking performances he consistently delivers
  6. Things are so bad I can't even be bothered to get worked up about it any more. No passion, no fight, no skill. I was spoilt having grown up in the Lawrie days when every team that came to the Dell had a fight on their hands. Things are so unenjoyable under Ralph and there doesn't seem any intention to change things. Hope I'm wrong because he won't be turning things round any time soon
  7. Yeah Raphinha wouldn't improve our first eleven in any way 🤣
  8. It's what's called life. There's a risk to everything. All you can do is weigh up pros. cons and adopt a probabilistic approach to things. eg how likely is it that we would have another long run of losses next season (likely if you look at Ralph's past track record), how likely is it that Ralph will make tactically poor decisions, play players out of position (likely) etc etc Then consider alternatives and see if the likelihood is they would do better. I'd quite like the Celtic manager if the board are reading this 🙂
  9. That's a novel idea. You mean there are managers out there who adopt their tactics to the opposition?
  10. LLLLDLWLDLL - only 3 of those games have been against top 6 You could describe that as "may not have had the best end of season" I'd say, coupled with similar runs in the recent past, it's sackable. I can only think we're too skint to pay him off.
  11. You are correct, he did deserve another season. I'm absolutely sure Ralph does not.
  12. I thought we were their reserves
  13. The football manager algorithm must have alerted him to something. I wonder what :-;
  14. I'd rather he was sacked in the dressing room right now. It's not like he'll be getting us another point this season anyway.
  15. In all likelihood yes
  16. Although to correct the OP. we didn't lose to Everton in that time. We did lose to Newcastle though. And there was a thumping vs Chelsea of course
  17. That says all you need to know. That is damning.
  18. why isn't it? Is there some law that says you can't bet against your own team? A team that pretty much never ceases to let you down 🙂 you should lighten up.
  19. I don't see why? if it really is 250-1 it's well worth a small punt
  20. that is actually worth a few quid
  21. I'm hoping we ditch ralph in the summer mainly for the reasons you outline here. Yeah its always a risk to replace a manager but he says he is retiring season after next so really why wouldn't we get rid on that basis alone?
  22. He has a weird obsession with Eddie Howe, Villa and Ralph. The first 2 can do nothing right, the last can do nothing wrong. Anybody can pull out stats to support any argument they want to make. In reality Howe isn't as bad as TWar makes out and Ralph isn't as good.
  23. I'll grant you it can't have harmed VVD to have RK managing at the time - one of the best defenders to play the game. Highly debatable to say the current clown would have helped him much - he would probably start playing him at LB 🙂 He was already immensely talented and was a £70m player in all but PL experience. We gave him the platform to prove his credentials and he took that opportunity and never looked back.
  24. Serious question for you - why do you persist in defending RH? In all my time as a supporter I have never known a manager who has the propensity to deliver such embarrassing results every season and for long runs of losses. I don't think the squad is bad - how does he keep putting out sides lacking even in basic tactics and fight? Surely it is time to roll the dice and get somebody else in.
  25. ralph = always a chance of a fucking embarrassment
