  1. I read on here last week that Salisu and Vestergaard can’t play together as they’re both left footed, and that never works. So today was a nice surprise.
  2. Yeah this. My folks recently both got the AZ vaccine but it seems like the Pfizer one is getting higher reported efficacy rates especially for prevention of mild to moderate symptoms of the known variants. I’ll admit, from the limited evidence available/published, I’d have preferred if my folks had gotten Pfizer. But it’s still extremely early to say for sure one way or the other, and the main thing is that they’ve got a jab that looks very likely to prevent the most extreme symptoms in the majority of cases, and has good prevention levels for the mild to moderate region.

  4. Tbf, Salisu made two mistakes that could/should have been costly tonight. He’s 21 years old and is still learning another new culture and new football league. He’s clearly had some problems assimilating, be that injury and/or whatever reasons. He looked good in patches tonight but is clearly in an early stage of his development. Plenty of promise there but I think Ralph knows what he’s doing with him and won’t rush him.
  5. Is it only two left footers that don’t work? What about two righties? Same problem, never works?
  6. Looks like 5 players to me.
  7. Its also arguable that a better draw than either Bournemouth away or Bournemouth home would be Barnsley away or home, which is still a possibility.
  8. El Southcoastico is on 😍
  9. Unlikely. I’m not Mike Dean has any friends.
  10. While most pundits think it was a disgrace of a decision.......Chris Sutton thinks it was dangerous play, that Mitrovic was struck fairly strongly, and that the red card should stand. Dear me.
  11. I really hope this weekend brings to a head just how badly VAR is being applied. Theres not much wrong with the technology. It’s the utter prats (TM) that are being used to administer it. Surely even an organisation as arrogant and useless as Mike Riley’s mob can admit they’ve got it horrendously wrong and need a re-think.
  12. There’s surely no other way out of it than to sit out Reid and Mason. Especially if this one gets rescinded. Sky are already saying it was hugely controversial. Get those two twats on the bench for a bit. In fact, give them some training, they clearly need it
  13. Him and fatty Mason need to be stood down.
  14. Big racist Ron used it well when he said I never comment on referees - and I won't break the habit of a lifetime for that prat!
  15. Prat is a word that is not used enough in general parlance.
  16. I’d quite happily take getting thumped 9-0:once a season if it means we get to keep Ralph. Hes got his flaws, but given some genuine resources he’ll do amazing things for a club. To get that shower of shit to top place was a miracle in itself.
  17. Dig up, stupid.
  18. The deaths I think will take a while to come down. Maybe another month until we start to see a noticeable difference from vaccinations. Case rates are down massively I guess thanks to lockdown. Still very high though, so a long way to go, certainly no room for complacency. The next target will be seeing just how effective the vaccine is in preventing deaths and severe illness amongst the elderly, the data just isn’t there at the moment to see.
  19. 👍 Im sure I watched the news the other night and they were warning about the scams going round by email, and they said it was letters only. So either I’m misremembering or they got that wrong.
  20. Ok. I thought it was all by letter though. My mum has been in and out of her surgery for other issues and they told her it was by letter. As posted above, the link is there so you can check the booking site to see if you’re eligible.
  21. Yeah, that

  23. Both my mum and dad said that their invites (which came through the mail) arrived around 4 or 5 days after the date printed on the letter.
  24. It’s a theoretical nightmare for how you prioritise though. Who should get the most priority? If you assign shots based on population size, it seems “fair” that everyone gets assigned the same number per head. But do you then take the case rate and/or the death rate into account? Belgium have got the highest death rate in Europe at 182 deaths per 100,000, whereas Norway and Iceland are at 10 and 8 respectively. It surely makes sense to prioritise the trouble spots, but then those countries who have kept the virus down are “punished” by not getting enough jabs for their needy. Whichever way it goes, it can be argued to be unfair. The bunfight between EU and UK has been unedifying, and there’s definitely an essence of “I’m alright jack” in the British approach. But as a Uk citizen I take the selfish POV and I’m obviously glad they’ve done it this way, and certainly relieved that the country’s top 4 high risk groups will have received the vaccine by mid February.
