  1. The Sheldon Report has been published into the child sex abuse scandal that has been uncovered over the last few years. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/56418652 Saints have issued an apology on the website regarding Bob Higgins. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-hampshire-56427480 BBC 1 are running a three part series next week called football’s darkest secret. https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/m000ths4 I’d encourage as many as possible to watch. Going to be tough viewing but utterly essential to ensure nothing of this kind can ever happen again.
  2. 46 so quite a bit off. But as I say, I have a relative not much older than me who has been offered, and pretty sure Turkish is of similar age. Relatives in early 50s jabbed already. If you’d have told me in December I’d be jabbed by summer I’d have been delighted. I reckon there’s a very small chance that by the end of March they will start 45-50 but I’m expecting getting mine done by end of April is more likely.
  3. Good work getting the jab. Some areas of oop north do seem to be ahead of down south, my relatives in the north west were all ahead of similar ages down here. I’m checking the vaccine booking site every so often but if I get offered a jab by end of March I’ll be doing very well indeed.
  4. Surely Mason has to go now. Utterly incompetent, as shown by multiple terrible examples in just the past few weeks.
  5. I’m sure it’s preferable, it seems like a nice balance. Fact is that Vestergard is about as two footed as you’re going to get for a CB.
  6. Well you’re wrong. I just looked back at the very quote I was referring to, and the chap was very forthright about Vest and Salisu both being left footed and it wouldn’t work. I remembered it because it seemed a bit of an odd thing to say. Move on please.
  7. Yes I know that. I’m just referring to what was said on here.
  8. I read on here last week that Salisu and Vestergaard can’t play together as they’re both left footed, and that never works. So today was a nice surprise.
  9. Yeah this. My folks recently both got the AZ vaccine but it seems like the Pfizer one is getting higher reported efficacy rates especially for prevention of mild to moderate symptoms of the known variants. I’ll admit, from the limited evidence available/published, I’d have preferred if my folks had gotten Pfizer. But it’s still extremely early to say for sure one way or the other, and the main thing is that they’ve got a jab that looks very likely to prevent the most extreme symptoms in the majority of cases, and has good prevention levels for the mild to moderate region.

  11. Tbf, Salisu made two mistakes that could/should have been costly tonight. He’s 21 years old and is still learning another new culture and new football league. He’s clearly had some problems assimilating, be that injury and/or whatever reasons. He looked good in patches tonight but is clearly in an early stage of his development. Plenty of promise there but I think Ralph knows what he’s doing with him and won’t rush him.
  12. Is it only two left footers that don’t work? What about two righties? Same problem, never works?
  13. Looks like 5 players to me.
  14. Its also arguable that a better draw than either Bournemouth away or Bournemouth home would be Barnsley away or home, which is still a possibility.
  15. El Southcoastico is on 😍
  16. Unlikely. I’m not Mike Dean has any friends.
  17. While most pundits think it was a disgrace of a decision.......Chris Sutton thinks it was dangerous play, that Mitrovic was struck fairly strongly, and that the red card should stand. Dear me.
  18. I really hope this weekend brings to a head just how badly VAR is being applied. Theres not much wrong with the technology. It’s the utter prats (TM) that are being used to administer it. Surely even an organisation as arrogant and useless as Mike Riley’s mob can admit they’ve got it horrendously wrong and need a re-think.
  19. There’s surely no other way out of it than to sit out Reid and Mason. Especially if this one gets rescinded. Sky are already saying it was hugely controversial. Get those two twats on the bench for a bit. In fact, give them some training, they clearly need it
  20. Him and fatty Mason need to be stood down.
  21. Big racist Ron used it well when he said I never comment on referees - and I won't break the habit of a lifetime for that prat!
  22. Prat is a word that is not used enough in general parlance.
  23. I’d quite happily take getting thumped 9-0:once a season if it means we get to keep Ralph. Hes got his flaws, but given some genuine resources he’ll do amazing things for a club. To get that shower of shit to top place was a miracle in itself.
