  1. Steve Grant, too much whining about the site being unusable
  2. Yep, we’ve had our pants pulled down there before, that’s for sure.
  3. We’ve gone off the boil. No ability to keep the ball for any extended time. Not sure I’ve seen a team look less threatening as us from corners as the few we’ve had so far. Almost like we don’t push too many forwards to protect against the counter attack.
  4. We look decent enough when in possession but don’t seem to have the same sort of zip as last season for winning the ball back and settling play, it’s all a bit frantic.
  5. High boot.
  6. Excellent block from Vestergard there tbf. Decent start but can’t see us keeping a clean sheet.
  7. Was mostly a waste of time trying to get on here during game time for me. But then it was a waste of time paying any attention to the game. So, meh.
  8. Brett from Camden bites the bullet for relentless whining, how apt 😆
  9. I agree with you, and I wish the best for him. Certainly looking forward to seeing how he gets on and I hope he can establish himself, prove me wrong, and keep Fulham up.
  10. Joke is lost. When it appeared on my screen it appeared as a long long list of html code, not the text as now. It was a crap gag to begin with but I’ll get my coat anyway.
  11. From what I gather he was indeed good. But he only started 21 games all season with another 4 as sub. Overall, very close to just half their games. And, as you say, they may think he can play at Premier League level. He certainly will, of course. We’ll see how effective it is. Like I said, I’d be concerned if I was a Fulham fan. If they’re gonna spend another £100m or so on improvements then that’s another thing altogether, but history has told me as a Saints fan that I’d only want either Reed or Lemina as a short term backup.
  12. £10m for a newly promoted team on Reed and Lemina is an interesting approach. Not sure if I’d be feeling all that confident; though lots of time to go in the window. Wouldn’t mind giving their ground a go when it (and COVID) is done. Fulham pre match pubs are great.
  13. Not sure if we’d get away with that sort of formation....
  14. Could go either way. If Lemina finally pulls himself together then Fulham could get an absolute bargain. Perhaps more likely is that he’ll continue as before with us, just about get through 20 appearances and have his mix of looking really good together with looking like he can’t be arsed. Either way, worth the gamble for Fulham.
  15. Romeu and Vestergaard should have traded numbers IMO. I always prefer to see a holding midfielder as a 4 and a CB as a 6.
  16. Leeds maybe? Single team in the city, decent fan base, still seen as a pretty big side after their successes under Revie and winning the last Div 1 title before the PL came in, just back in the big league, a bit of a blank canvas behind the scenes perhaps. If not I agree Newcastle might be a likely target. We know that the amount of tickets sold at the ground is only small percentage of income these days. That said there’s still IMO a big correlation between size of ground (and if you can fill it) and perceived growth potential for success. Hence the likes of Newcastle will also always be seen as an attractive option.

  18. Hopefully the match report will have the lineups published, haven’t seen A.Trialist and his lesser spotted brothers B, C and D included in the team for a while now.
  19. Sadly that’s proving to be the case, can’t get rid of the useless lump.
  20. Saints to fail to win on opening day.
  21. I keep hearing this, but does he? Barca has by all accounts a bit of a ropey manager last term and they still only finished 5 points off Real. They were also 12 points ahead of third. There’s a job to do, granted, but he’s got some extensive resources and some excellent players available. Spanish club fans are notorious cnuts, mind, so unless he gets results immediately his legendary status could be very quickly tarnished.
  22. Alan Ball - gave us MLT in a free role. Ronald Koeman - some top results and just a general look of quality to the whole team rarely seen before. Gordon Strachan - did well with a limited team and took us to a cup final. Decent interviews too. edit: I’m swapping Strachan for Nigel Adkins, misread the OP and thought it was just PL.
  23. Lemina has already trained under and played in the league for Ralph Hasenhüttl, so it wouldn’t be the first time.
  24. 8 available for JWP if he wants it.
