  1. Looks like Vestergard at fault for all three! Certainly the first two, and his recovery “defending” for the third was questionable at best
  2. I like VAR. It's got its teething problems but overall it’s clear cut on important decisions. Never thought I’d be a fan initially but I think it will be good. Doesn’t detract from the game if they make quick decisions so just need to avoid the previous occasions when they’ve taken minutes to arrive at a decision. VAR officials have been instructed to take a very passive approach to fouls and only intervene if a clear and obvious mistake is made. Offside is as accurate as GLT and a good thing imo.
  3. Can’t do any worse than Norwich. Maybe.
  4. Struggling to work out how Yoshida doesn’t get in ahead of Stephens. Injured? Would much prefer to see a back 4 with Yoshida and Bednarek, until we work out what Danso is about. And Hojberg back to play alongside Romeu.
  5. Nothing like a 3-0 drubbing on opening day to settle expectations! At least West Ham and Watford are keeping us off the bottom for now. Good luck Ralph. Here’s praying big Kev is a wonder kid who can organise a central defence.
  6. Justice at last. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-hampshire-48608863 Massive kudos to all the lads involved.
  7. I always wondered what type of person would pay money to join the Brexit party. Now I know. Makes sense.
  8. sounds like they must have a massive amount of stretch to them.
  9. Pretty awful design and the cheap stick on logo doesn’t help. Might have been ok without the black panel at the top, but the logo patch would still look rubbish. but then I’m never going to buy the thing so it doesn’t matter.
  10. As if St. Totteringham's Day wasn't cringeworthy enough
  11. So predictable, dear me.
  12. I think it’s both.
  13. Warnock will be fuming at the officials. Rightly so.
  14. They should have had two, clear as day.
  15. I don't know what it costs now; but my mate used to run a pub that had Sky and BT. Around 5 or 6 years ago he decided to knock it on the head as the annual cost went over £20K. A ridiculous amount, and smaller pubs really have to consider if they are able to justify those costs, a lot won't be able to.
  16. And FA cup semi-finals at neutral grounds (not Wembley).
  17. Black football boots.
  18. Yep, a manager who looks like he genuinely cares and wants to get totally involved with turning it round.
  19. Quite a lot to consider with it: - Plenty of Northam fans and Itchen North fans enjoy being there because it's so close to the away fans. - Where do the away fans actually move to? What do the people who sit there make of it?- Would Northam/Itchen North fans also move to remain closer to the away fans? In theory it would be good to have a whole home end ; in reality there's a lot of factors to bear in mind so it's not as simple as a yes/no answer for me, would probably need to see the finer details. But in general, yes, worth investigating.
  20. It's all gone very quickly. On Monday, Mark Hughes was fired as Southampton FC coach. The name Ralph Hasenhüttl quickly ghosted through the British media that he was the first contender to succeed him. Then in the evening, the decision was made. The 51-year-old Styrian takes over the traditional club, becoming the first Austrian coach in the English Premier League. Hasenhüttl will be officially unveiled on Tuesday. The contract, as the Kleine Zeitung learned, has already been signed. The Austrian had ended his involvement with RB Leipzig last May. Now he's back in full business.
  21. This is awkward.
  22. Please god no.
  23. Wez-Lee.
  24. I reckon I'd be back for some of that.
  25. Liverpool and Luis Suarez suggests no, not always. Arsenal's bid triggered the release clause but Liverpool refused to accept it.
