  1. Only SWF posters could try to make an argument for a bigger stadium while our average attendance has dropped by 800 fans per game and currently sits at less than 300000, our lowest ever figure in the Premier League at St Mary's.
  2. Title winning form. We should refuse to play games against top ten sides and insist on only playing bottom ten sides. #thedreamisreal
  3. Our average attendance is also a bit down on last season. Last season's average was 30,800. This season it is below 30,000. Even if we sell out every home game for the rest of the season the average will be around 400-500 down on last season. Not a brilliant trend to justify a capacity increase. Krueger mentions monetising the surrounding area; that and a capacity increase can be mutually exclusive ambitions.
  4. He's also said he "reassessing" the whole issue. That could mean anything.
  5. It is for all but the games against the top 4 or 5 sides; against those we could get many more fans in. Though, judging by the Liverpool game at least, how many of those would be away fans in the home end is up for debate. The question is, is it worth a capacity increase when you would have 10K or so empty seats against some teams? Not really IMO. Especially if the club have to finance it, rather than rely upon a benevolent benefactor, I can't see a decent financial case to be made for it that way.
  6. Simon Peach ‏@SimonPeach 5m Krueger told me finishing training ground was "priority one" & looking at expanding/improving St Mary's second behind that. Simon Peach ‏@SimonPeach 6m Being reassessed & he seemed keen to look at ways of monetizing area. That sounds to me as if increasing the stadium size is very much not on the agenda right now. Could be interpreted either way, of course; but "being reassessed" to me means deciding if it's worth actually bothering. I'll start getting interested when the signs out of St. Mary's are a bit more committed. Absolutely no way a stadium increase could be financially justified yet IMO.
  7. It's a good thing that Stephens is going out on loan. As a centre-back you have to be absolutely exceptional to get a starting place at 18 or 19 years old, good CBs most often tend to be a bit older than that. No rush for Stephens so if this loan goes well an extended loan, maybe at Championship level, may be a next step.
  8. Only 9 teams have won the league in that time, so it's not that terrible a stat.
  9. This. And given that some boxes have sold out for the whole season, it kind of restricts how much you can just slash prices to encourage sales. I'd imagine that next season might see a reduction in price.
  10. Anyway, after the simple idiot Monk unfortunately trolled this thread. Lets get back on track. What a great video! I love Lawrie's impression of Micky Channon. "Gafffeeeeeer".
  11. Poor old Roger, I imagined the turmoil you must have felt when Robbie Savage didn't subscribe to the Roger Lambert fan club (sic).
  12. A simple question, for a (clearly) simple man: Why have you got so needlessly aggressive about a nice video? And some nice memories? You seem to have attributed all sorts of idiocy to a good video. Odd.
  13. It's not my forum, fella., It belongs to all. I'm amazed you put that suggestion my way. # Especially when you've watched for so long. Lurking. All the time. Yep.
  14. Why does it bother you so much that you have to ask why it bothers me so much?
  15. I'll nibble all you like, you compete dimwit. Wasn't a 1976 video so nice? I though it was, that's why I posted. Was it a bit of a shame we didn't make the most of the FA Cup this season? Yep, but we'll get over it. Now, poor old Monk is very angry about something. I'm not sure what. But, the point of this thread is: What a nice video?? Sad that a dimwit troll like Monk had to jump in and derail it.
  16. I never considered that poor old Monk was quite so simple of thinking.
  17. You do seem to have a bee in your bonnet about Glasgow. Very strange for a "new" poster. Do you have anything to say about your aggressive knob" and "cock" brandings? Or is that justifiable abuse, while moaning about others?
  18. Are you a bit simple? Actually, scratch that. You very, very clearly are. Just for the extremely hard of thinking, like poor old Monk here. I'll lay it out in steps: 1) We're not in the FA Cup this season. 2) We could be, but that's an entirely different discussion. 3) Next season, and all those beyond, we're allowed to enter the FA Cup. 4) And the whole point: What a nice video that is, and what happy memories. 5) Given how nice a video it is, why is Monk so angry about it?
  19. Yes, your patience and understanding definitely shone through when you shouted "knob" and "cock" at others. That's when you lost any sort of credibility.
  20. You seem like a lovely person. Mods: Is this acceptable? Do we need aggressive trolls like this?
  21. Erm, what, ever again?
  22. True. Champions League or nothing.
  23. This. I know some are young, but it's almost as if the 80s didn't actually happen for some. "8th place? Wow, unbelievable, never happened here ever!!!!!"
