I meant for a WC or EC champs.

Steve Bull from the Second Division as well. That will never happen again, I reckon.

A completely sh*t footballer?
-
No, that's why I asked.
-
Who is "they"?
-
Oops, Gerrard MOTM. Let the hate begin.........
-
You actually had to ask
-
A fair answer. Like I said earlier I think RL will get the nod (unless Welbz gets another one late on) but I think I'd also say fair play if Welbeck does get it too. Welbeck didn't get an assist but he was instrumental in the first goal. Credit where its due.
-
Indeed. Just you wait, Jermaine Defoe will start against Ukraine now. Woy only hopes Rickie will fail.
-
If Lambert had instead scored the 2 and then not got MOTM, would you be equally annoyed? FWIW I think Townsend will give it to RL anyway.
-
Another one to add to the clueless brigade.

Apparently not appreciating his all round game until now is the new feature for getting a bit hot under the collar.
-
It's been a great night so far for him and Saints fans. Lets not get too far ahead of ourselves at half time though, eh?
-
A genuinely brilliant player. Blighted by injury so far, goodness only knows how good he'll get if he stays free of injuries.
-
Ha ha, get in there!!
-
Bright start for RL but seems to have gone into his shell a little. Come on Rickie lad; get in that box and knock one in.

Should have had ribeye FFS.

If it's anything akin to what I have heard (and much of which is in the public domain) its along the lines of the role Richard Fry played by being the exec at Barclays responsible for cutting our overdraft (and hence sending us into administration), then subsequently becoming a partner at Begbies Traynor, who were our administrator. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/article-1197918/Charles-Sale-Whats-Fry-cooking-Saints-now.html It was also somewhat fishy that, after lowering our overdraft during the season from £5M to £4M, Barclays couldn't/wouldn't wait another month or so to allow us to make the summer transfers that would have reduced the overdraft level to comfortably within the newly set parameters.

I spent half a season in Tignes; its one of my favourite resorts, absolutely fabulous. High resort base so its very snow sure (at the beginning of another winter season I skied Tignes on 1st December in glorious conditions). Linked with Val d'Isere so the ski area is absolutely massive. A huge variety for all ability levels from wide, easy, long beginner runs, excellent cruisey blues and reds, decent black runs plus some phenomenal off-piste. And the snow parks are very good too. I'd struggle to find a fault with Tignes aside from the fact that the buildings and architecture is a bit ugly; but really, who cares about that? One thing to be aware of though. There a 5 separate villages to Tignes. Val Claret is the highest up the valley, which is linked by bus (and the slopes of course) to Lavachet and Le Lac. Les Boisses and Les Brevieres are further down the valley at lower elevations and are much smaller villages. Still good access to the skiing but just something to bear in mind, the bus services to those two aren't as extensive as those of the upper three villages, which makes going out for drinks in the evening a bit more of a challenge.

Did they benefit from playing at the highest level? Or did they just benefit from playing games at a fairly young age? Beckham to Preston, Lampard to Swansea, Defoe and Rio to Bournemouth, Ashley Cole to Palace; five England internationals with hundreds of caps between them who all benefitted from going to a lower league club. The current loan system just acts as a flag of convenience for clubs to lash out millions on players they don't necessarily need then recoup the wages by having the player turn out for another side. Take that facility away and maybe we might see a bit more frugality and less recklessness in the transfer market.
-
Agree with the general consensus so far; loan fees should be abolished and loans between clubs in the same division should be prohibited.
-
Too early to say for sure but I'm not sure if the intent is for Rickie to make way. But then as i said I really have no idea what our first choice XI is going to be; our forward options look rather disjointed to me.
-
Who would you drop to do this? Lallana seems to have made a good start to the season and stepped his game up from last season. Osvaldo is providing a bit more competition too. and as much as I thing Rodriguez is below par, he's about the only option we now have that offers some genuine pace and some form of ability to get on the ball and put defenders on the back foot. I'll be honest, I don't really know what our best starting line-up is since Osvaldo arrived; only to say that it seems to have pushed Ramirez backwards if anything.

Have they? Where was this written?
