    Scars

I've got a few, all achieved when I was a kid. Got one on my knee from when I was being chased in the school playground by a girl whilst playing kiss chase, slipped forwards somehow, and dug my teeth in my knee. Got one on my forehead from when I ran into the partition seperating changing rooms in a clothes shop at full pelt. (Rendered me unconcious that did.) I got another in my eyebrow (which looks cool) from falling off the climbing frame at school. I got more careful as i got older. So 'fess up...where are yours and how did you get them?
  2. Are you made of copper and tellurium? Because you're CuTe. Well I was going for Gold or Calcium, but in the end I plumped for Neon. I like Neon.
  3. I thought it was funneh. It's funneh cuz it's true.
  4. Swansea have just signed a new attacking wide player, which got me thinking about Nate Dyer. I was surprised to see he's only played 9 times this season after a good season last season. Hypothetically speaking, if the money was right, would YOU have him back at Saints?
  5. I don't know anything about this guy, and I know Liverpool aren't the club they were, but I'd be astonished if we beat Liverpool to the signing of Forren. Two seasons ago in League One - I know it's been said but I still rub my eyes at our progress over the last three years.
  6. Two points in two sentences there - 1) I too loved the 3 for £20 offers, or whatever they have on, to expand my DVD collection, films that I've usually either seen before or wouldn't buy if they weren't on offer. These days though you have LoveFilm, NetFlix, Sky Movies etc etc where you can buy a film on demand without even leaving your home. Sites like these are one of the reasons HMV are going under. Even Tesco has got on board with on demand film - I'm surprised HMV hasn't done the same. 2) I went to two HMV stores just after Christmas to buy my wife a 3DS. HMV's advertised packages were better than Game and other console-based outlets, in that they came with a game I wanted for her and also a charger, which Nintendo don't automatically include. I didn't even care about the colour. "Sorry, we don't have any in stock," came the answer from both outlets. "Oh," says I, "and do you know when you might have any in stock?" "Umm, we don't know that information, they just come in whenever." "So you're advertising a product you don't even have?" "Well we'll have it in eventually." Great. I was also after Ted on DVD which both stores had sold out of. I bit the bullet and went to Game, where I got a good package (not as good as HMV's, but at least they had 3DS's in stock) and also got good information from the guy behind the counter. HMV are a staple of our high streets, and like Woolworths and co before them I'd be gutted to see them close, but so much of what they sell can be bought online now, and with products guaranteed to be in stock too. (I should've bought the 3DS online but I didn't leave myself enough time.)
  7. Watford fans on their forum are talking as if they'd get big money if they were to sell him (between £8-£20 million according to some) but that they're better off keeping him to get promoted. He is on loan right? From Udinese? The parent club that would get any transfer money should he bs sold? I'm not sure what they're on about there.
  8. Nope, but if they did that, I bet the odds would be longer.
  9. I fancy a flutter on this game and am not sure what to go for. While I think Chelsea will win comfortably, there's no point betting on them as the odds are too short. What would you bet on? Hmm, I think Jos Hooiveld to score at any time at 14-1 will do, maybe he'll head in from a corner.
  10. Anything, ANYTHING we get out of this game will be a result of the season. I can see Jos being torn apart, more so if Fox is alongside him at left back. I'd stick Davis or JWP in alongside Cork and Morgan for this one and just play with the three attacking players, perhaps Lambert, Punch and Ramirez in a 4-5-1. I still see it being a tighter game than in the cup, but perhaps not by much. Anything but a morale shattering defeat would do.
  11. Paper licenses are out by 2015. I need to change my address, although my parents still live at the address I have on there so that makes me wonder if I'd get a fine if I were stopped with it.
  12. Happy with the win, no matter how it was achieved. How did Jos do today? Tis a shame other teams at the bottom picked up points, Reading and Sunderland with wins, Wigan, Newcastle and QPR with points.
  13. The Frazer Richardson that couldn't even get a right back slot ahead of Jack Cork, who played out of position, yet was named on the bench? Perhaps Adkins doesn't see him as Premier League quality. Keep Clyne at his best position. Yes I don't rate Fox, but if it were for a couple of games, at least he'd come in trying to prove something to his manager. I still hope Shaw isn't out for long though.
  14. Crud. Thank God the window is open. (I'm not saying sign ten new players but at least that's an option with regards to loans.)
  15. No, diving is horrible, but today, without it, we'd have got a 0-0 draw and with Reading and Sunderland winning, and Newcastle, QPR and Wigan all picking up points, that dive was crucial for 3 points. I'm sure it all balances out over time anyway, we'll be, or have been victims of diving against us at some point.
  16. We'd be gutted to lose Lallana, then Fonte, then Shaw, all three of our better players this season. Cruel, especially as we're all aware the strength in depth isn't there. Fingers crossed it's a minor thing, and that the other two come back soon too.
  17. My kingdom for a horse.
  18. Reading are preparing for nPC life well then. :-)
  19. Not sure, but he's not even on the bench unless I mislooked. Unless he's injured. I think I read Forest are interested in him but I thought he'd go to a club a bit higher up...
  20. Stop showing football and start showing Justin Bieber, One Direction and Lionel Ritchie. (Wait, does fit bit chez like Lionel? Cuz they shud.)
  21. 1) I would not be happy if we got rid of Adkins. I like the bloke, he's intelligent, positive, has us playing good football and is more than holding his own in a league alien to him. 2) I would not be happy with the appointment of Di Matteo. There are dozens of better managers than him - his CV looks good because he was an excellent midfielder, and because, as a manager, he's been in the right place at the right time. 3) If we do go down (which I still think is a highly likely possibility) then Adkins is the best choice to bring us back up. He's already done it once. I think the only question marks remain over Adkins' transfer policy, but seeing all our Italian links recently makes me think they may be Cortese-influenced. I won't be anti-Di Matteo, per se, if we appoint him, but I may be more critical of his failings than I am with Adkins.
  22. I get the feeling Gunter in the Premier League is like had we been relying on Harding at left back this season. Clyne and Shaw - we couldn't have asked for better full backs, even if their cover is suspect. Paul Robinson isn't playing for Blackburn tonight. Is there something more in that I wonder?!?
  23. A quick note on Appleton, which I guess has been mentioned, but I'm not trawling through hundreds of pages since the last time I posted on page 942ish, but why the hell do people rate him? He might be an OK coach but I've seen nothing about him to suggest he's a good manager. Blackpool did well to lose him when they did. (Similar to when Burley took the Scotland job rather than us having to pay him a redundancy package.) Blackpool started the season flying, and under Appy they've only won 2 in ten. Blackpool fans apparently were already starting to tire of him, his long ball tactics and his boring ways - some say that he even made it seem like the players that started the season so well had only just met each other. And what's with all this "good job at Portsmouth" nonsense. I could have got them relegated, he's no messiah. Perhaps this is a personal vendetta because I dislike the bloke but I think Blackburn have shot themselves in the foot (again) with this appointment. They needed experience, and they haven't got it. Even Darren Ferguson would've been a better appointment with his 'links'. Anyway, it's their screw up. I heard Harry say that Spurs were a "magnificent" team. Well no, but you would say that, seeing as you assembled most of the team yourself. Shameless self-promotion. (I must be on my period or something, two rants in one post. Oh well, I guess the PFC takeover thread is the best place for them)
  24. I would say win or bust, but with Fonte and Lallana missing, and potentially Clyne and Ramirez, I think I would take a point right now. Especially as we haven't yet signed anyone to cover Fonte's absence, meaning Jos will play. I can see us losing this one, even with Villa's ineptitude, so yes I would take a point, but to stay up ideally we need to win this.
  25. How many does Weimann have this season? He could be a threat on Saturday too, but I'm feeling unusually confident about the game. Play as well as we can, and it could be 3 points. It has to be too, a draw is not good enough. Bent going off injured...
