A win is a win, damage done in the first half.
-
Fraser is a great striker of a ball. His finishes this season have (mostly) been very well struck. I always used to think Jay Rodriguez's finishing was like that. Crisp. Shame it hit the post.

Leicester and Ipswich are where we all want to be (EDIT - in the League standings, not geographically!). I don't believe we're under pressure, we just keep doing what we've been doing. We're not looking nervously over our shoulders like they are.
-
Even a draw puts Leeds ahead of us but as long as keep playing the way we have been, we should be OK. A win puts BC two points off the play offs though so 🤞 they can do us a favour. If anything a Leeds win should put the pressure on the top 2, not us.

Gangnam Style - 2 players, one song. Kyle, Kyle, Kyle, Kyle, Walker-Peters Style, Heyyyyyyyy Adam Armstrong, Kyle, Kyle, Kyle, Walker-Peters style. Everyone has to do the moves too or we lose our position as the most macho club in the country.

I said they'd be a good shout for a play off spot since the start of the season, their summer signings were Philogene (who we were interested in apparently and who was on fire before his injury), Delap, Vinagre, Morton and Connolly and they've topped it off with Carvalho, Zaroury and, from what media have been saying, a decent Turkish lad. They're building well there, seem to be in good hands.

When you think we had Cuco Martina playing for us in the Prem and now we have KWP playing for us in the Championship... football can be fucked up sometimes. Madness. We are very lucky to have him.
-
The window softly closes. Rothwell and Brooks in, Holgate and Charly out. Keeping Che and Mara up top, KWP stays. Bring on the promotion run! 🤞🤞🤞🤞 The summer transfer window thread will be interesting as it depends on what League we're in.

It's a decent bit of experience for Ipswich especially as they lost a striker to a bad injury recently but their striker signing from Wimbledon (the Iraqi lad I forget his name...Al-Hamadi thanks Google) might want to be the one to watch apparently if he can make the step up.

Interesting last 15 minutes in the Wolves/United match. Wolves thought they had a point and United have just nicked it.

https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/68175450 Definitely an odd transfer that. Charles for 4th choice it is then. Or Simeu...

Lee Hendrie and Gary O'Neil now playing darts on SSN. Tis a slow news day for sure.

Glad I'm not the only one to think she's poor (and sounds like she's been inhaling helium). I had to use Twitter to find out who she was. Absolutely nothing wrong with women in football and I support it but just as you can have bad male analysts (and Sky have a few) you can also have bad female analysts.

Biggest transfer of the day - Hamilton to Ferrari. Not even football!
-
Broja to Fulham. Makes sense geographically at the very least!

Not much going on today - I haven't watched SSN yet but I bet they're still overselling it. FFP and the points deduction for Everton have really shat teams up. Not that Saints really needed much, Brooks and Rothwell on loan strengthen what was already one of the strongest teams in the League. Alcaraz is a loss to a point but financially understandable and he's not first choice for us, same with Holgate. I'm greedy, I still would like another Striker and CB in but realistically our squad should be good enough now to get promoted. I look forward to seeing Brooks' contribution.
-
Or Caleta-Car, not that he's done much for Lyon by the looks of it. The most successful loan out story this season appears to be Lis.
-
Yes. An injury to Jan or THB and we're screwed, let alone losing both for whatever reason. We need a specialist 4th choice and if it isn't Holgate we'd need another IMO.
-
Win win is where I am too. Now I like Charly, post relegation he was happy to stay and help us get promoted and he's had the odd game where he's been good such as his goal recently, but approximately €7 million for half a season on loan is a large amount of money for us. Add that on to the fact that we've been winning games perfectly well without him, and that he's not exactly 'lit up the Championship' in the way we all thought he would, then we'll be fine without him. In addition we either get him back in the summer a little bit more experienced ready for our next campaign (in whichever league that is in),we get £40 million for him which is crazy money, or we sell him to someone else but they'll now know our terms. While I'd love to have kept Charly for the run in (especially a run in that we may need a spark of inspiration from somewhere), this deal seems to make too much sense to be ignored. Would I be too greedy though if I said that because of this I want another striker? Charly was playing high up early in the season and our striking options now are AA, Che and Mara.

Cracking signing. And whatever happens in the summer, he can leave this message... Now to get to work Brooks...
-
Brooks is class, my Bournemouth supporting colleague only the other day said we have "no chance" of signing him. An experienced (but still fairly young), talented player like him could be the difference between promotion and not. I still have reservations about our defence, I would like one more reinforcement but aside from that I think our squad would be as good as we can make it without upsetting the balance.

The Bensons for Reds headline writes itself then.
-
Hoping the replay is Weds 7th, a game I could actually get to for a change.
-
Oh god... a replay! Still keeps the unbeaten run going. Maybe the unbeaten run ends at Liverpool? 😁
