I quite like the idea of seeing THB and Quarshie in a 2 with Mads and Jelert alongside. But, of course, Captain Jack cannot be left out as we all know.

With 3 fit full backs (assuming Bree and Taylor go), I think he'll have his hands full a full back. If we sell Smallbone and Aribo (which could happen post-window closure) we need another CM to compete with the other 3.

Bree and Taylor out is not unexpected but with Welington out, we're a FB light unless we bring in another or again we could be in a square peg/round hole situation. Scienza coming is a bonus to our creativity. Edwards leaving would disappoint me, however he's started this season. 4 CBS is enough for a 2 CB system though. Overall I can't see us upgrading the strikers or the GK so we're stuck with them - my only greedy "want" would be another CM but I think that only happens if we offload Aribo and Smallbone - and that could happen after our window closes. I think we've done excellent business in the last week, improved our attacking creativity no end. Now we hope they click.

Surprised with this with Welington out long term, I know Jelert can play there and we have Manning but I figured it would be Breezy on the move. Could be both but we'd be back to 3 FBs again. Can only assume Taylor wants regular football.

Liverpool sell well, annoyingly, that's something they're good at - they may spend £450 million odd this summer but so far they've also recouped £200 million. They also didn't spend much at all last season, and they need to future proof for when Salah retires. And they lost Jota, though a morbid thought, I'm not sure if they get an insurance payout for him. I hate defending Liverpool but I actually think their business has been superb and they must be shoe ins for the Champions League - god help us all.

Close, I still think Smallbone goes and Taylor stays, purely because of Welington's injury, even though we now have Jelert (still primarily a right back) alongside Manning. Plus his versatility and experience could be key. Edozie I'm surprised that hasn't been sorted yet, he's been linked with an exit for what seems like weeks. It's not like we've kept him until now because we didn't have replacements. We've seen players head off to Turkey after our window closes in the past so even if we don't ship the unwanted lot out tomorrow, it could still happen to one of the countries that still have their windows open (and Interestingly the Belgian window is open until the 8th).
