Need to take those. They'll probably punish us. Both Mara's were scoreable and Sulemana's was a decent chance too. We've looked ok so far though so credit.

If we win, I'm getting a tattoo of Russ Martin on my butt. Liverpool have named a weaker team but I still doubt our strongest team would have beaten them anyway. Let's see what the back up boys can do. Good to see Bree back. Sulemana's last good game was against this lot so fingers crossed for another! Concentrate on the League eh... 😝

Blow, but we know we're most likely getting play offs now so getting everyone fit for those that have been the biggest influence on our season is key. Also thankfully that's an area we have cover in Edozie, Sulemana and even sliding Brooks, SAA or Dibling across but we need Fraser back for the run in.

Sad news. I began supporting Saints in '89 but didn't really start following them seriously until I went to my senior school in '94 (The Alan Ball first managerial season was the first I really remember most vividly) so the era that Chris Nicholl was manager passed me by despite him being here when I picked Saints to be my team. That said I've read a lot about him since through books like Duncan's Alphabet of the Saints etc and I know he was a big part of the club for years. RIP.

Well I decided not to follow the game today, dug out the Wii and played Skyward Sword. Sounds like it was a better use of my time. Not over but does anyone still think we’ll get autos? Personally I think we are destined for playoffs so I want as few key injuries to players as possible. Still have The big boys to play though so win them and we’re back in contention. Still…

We'll win this as long as Martin plays the strongest team but am I confident we'll go on another unbeaten run? Not particularly but we need to keep fighting for every point. Could be some tough boys up for a fight though...

I think we'd keep SArm (he seems happier this season under Russ) and Fraser (seems to want to be here permanently) but I agree with most of the others. Not sure if we couldn't keep Bednarek too, he'd probably have suitors though. I also think Baz has been courted by other teams and could be signed by someone. So our squad (sans signings for now) would most likely be Lumley/Liz, Bree/Abu, Stephens/Awe, Lawrence/Simeu, Manning/Meghoma/Larios, Charles/Bragg, Smallbone/Edwards, Stu/Aribo, Edozie/Dibling, Fraser/SAA, Stewart/Mara/Ballard. Not terrible but it would definitely need a lot of rebuilding, there is a big drop off of quality from this season and a heavier reliance on youth. Let's hope it doesn't happen.

After a defeat, I do not endorse the punching of parrots. Despite threats, my parents 2 African Greys are still living. The BC game last week still rankles. For the first time after the Huddersfield game I finally changed my tune and thought... wow this team is really good. It'll take some stopping us now, our attack is immense, up there with Leeds. Then we got spanked 3 nothing. Generally though after a defeat I just cut myself off from all sports media for a few days. I don't remember feeling genuinely angry though, although the United cup final defeat was painful as we were so close to that trophy.

Autos isn't over but we now need Leeds and Ipswich to slip up more than we slip up between now and the end of the season. Leeds look imperious right now - that will be a tough ask. We have shown a soft underbelly that shows we can be got at. Play-offs is looking increasingly likely and that's a lottery I would rather not have to deal with but just maybe Leicester beat Leeds, we beat Milwall and Brum beat Ipswich and all of a sudden we are back in 2nd spot again, the first team to hit 70 points bar Leicester and wondering why we were worried. Maybe. Maybe. And hell we can smash Leeds and Ipswich anyway right... 😁

It's not like we won't get play offs... I just really wanted autos as a guarantee of going up. Leeds are relentless, Leicester have the points and even Ipswich aren't going away. Play offs though is such a lottery and we've shown that we can be got at. It's not over yet but this last week has been an eye opener.

This. We also miss Downes and Bree and have done since they both got injured. Even Che has been a miss.

I hate not watching it live. Waiting for bloody Merson to say something is excruciating.
