Well I decided not to follow the game today, dug out the Wii and played Skyward Sword. Sounds like it was a better use of my time. Not over but does anyone still think we’ll get autos? Personally I think we are destined for playoffs so I want as few key injuries to players as possible. Still have The big boys to play though so win them and we’re back in contention. Still…

We'll win this as long as Martin plays the strongest team but am I confident we'll go on another unbeaten run? Not particularly but we need to keep fighting for every point. Could be some tough boys up for a fight though...

I think we'd keep SArm (he seems happier this season under Russ) and Fraser (seems to want to be here permanently) but I agree with most of the others. Not sure if we couldn't keep Bednarek too, he'd probably have suitors though. I also think Baz has been courted by other teams and could be signed by someone. So our squad (sans signings for now) would most likely be Lumley/Liz, Bree/Abu, Stephens/Awe, Lawrence/Simeu, Manning/Meghoma/Larios, Charles/Bragg, Smallbone/Edwards, Stu/Aribo, Edozie/Dibling, Fraser/SAA, Stewart/Mara/Ballard. Not terrible but it would definitely need a lot of rebuilding, there is a big drop off of quality from this season and a heavier reliance on youth. Let's hope it doesn't happen.

After a defeat, I do not endorse the punching of parrots. Despite threats, my parents 2 African Greys are still living. The BC game last week still rankles. For the first time after the Huddersfield game I finally changed my tune and thought... wow this team is really good. It'll take some stopping us now, our attack is immense, up there with Leeds. Then we got spanked 3 nothing. Generally though after a defeat I just cut myself off from all sports media for a few days. I don't remember feeling genuinely angry though, although the United cup final defeat was painful as we were so close to that trophy.

Autos isn't over but we now need Leeds and Ipswich to slip up more than we slip up between now and the end of the season. Leeds look imperious right now - that will be a tough ask. We have shown a soft underbelly that shows we can be got at. Play-offs is looking increasingly likely and that's a lottery I would rather not have to deal with but just maybe Leicester beat Leeds, we beat Milwall and Brum beat Ipswich and all of a sudden we are back in 2nd spot again, the first team to hit 70 points bar Leicester and wondering why we were worried. Maybe. Maybe. And hell we can smash Leeds and Ipswich anyway right... 😁

It's not like we won't get play offs... I just really wanted autos as a guarantee of going up. Leeds are relentless, Leicester have the points and even Ipswich aren't going away. Play offs though is such a lottery and we've shown that we can be got at. It's not over yet but this last week has been an eye opener.

This. We also miss Downes and Bree and have done since they both got injured. Even Che has been a miss.

I like the transfer dealings Hull have been doing this last year, their results have sometimes been a bit inconsistent but I still think they have a good shout of getting play offs. Tough game though. Home advantage so we should win but that BC result still lives in my head. I'd be delighted with the odd goal victory. 2-1 Saints, same as the away fixture when Fraser won it late.

😁 Yes thats been common knowledge since he signed. Another reason why promotion is vitally important as he'll be a big miss next season if we have to do another season at this level and rebuild the defence. (Especially as KWP will be off and even Bednarek may have his suitors). THB belongs in the Prem. Hopefully it's with us. Also it's a surprise that Burnley never signed him permanently or at least on another loan.

It's the Leicester title winning season all over again from when he was with Spurs. He scores plenty of goals and yet an unexpected team comes out of nowhere and pips them to the title. Kane has been brilliant this season but Leverkusen under Alonso have just been better. If they do go on and win it, I'm delighted for Tella. I can picture that smile now. Xabi Alonso is a great shout for Klopp replacement.

Head says Leeds will win. Heart wants a Leicester win. Even with their loss today I think they'll pick up enough points that we won't catch them. Leeds are our main rivals. Draw wouldn't be the worst result but goal difference favours Leeds as it stands if it boils down to that. It would be a jolly old chortle though if us and Leeds finished 1-2 and Leicester dropped into the play offs... but I can't see it.

Come on Janners, do us a favour.

More than anything this, and at least having a chance of keeping KWP and Downes, is why I want us to get promoted. We have the makings of a very good Prem team with a few smart signings (and not "potential" like with Charles).
