Form is temporary, class is permanent.

Haha LiveScore have already said the match has finished. Someone prematurely pushed the end game button.

Almost good as our last 5-3 win which was... umm... nope no idea.

I retract this statement.

Win this and I'll eat my own pubes.

Looks at clock: Ok I'll say it... I'll take the draw. 😳

Well we know one thing, the 2024 edition of Saints have giant bollocks.

Ok that's a start

Meanwhile Miovski who we didn't take a cheap punt on is banging them in up north.

I wondered why people were talking about Rothwell, I didn't realise Downes had got injured. Did it look serious? He's one that would derail our season if out long term.

I get home from work and we're 2 nil down. Should've stayed at work.

I'm usually pretty pessimistic after years of false dawns but when you look at the facts, 24 unbeaten, full squad, playing well and with confidence, strong bench, against a team riddled with injuries and not starting a striker, at fortress SMS - you have to say we look overwhelming favourites and even I am confident of a win. I have a very slight nagging concern they'll park the bus for the draw - but it's up to us to sort that. I'm definitely more worried about the next 2.

Unchanged League line up. Oooooooh your Fraser's on fire...

If, and this is a very, VERY HUGE 'if', we beat Liverpool, would it go down as the biggest result in our history? Perhaps bar the Cup final against United in '76?

It wasn't a goal but was so close, I said it at the time if it had gone in it would have been my GOTS - AA's shot from near the half way line against Plymouth in December that if it had dropped a foot lower it would have gone in. Tough to choose, so many goals! Actually then, the same Plymouth game - that Alcaraz goal put us on the road to the win and was a great finish - so that. Same as Colinjb above.

17 year old forward Nick Oyekunle signs pro contract. Saw one of his goals on FB dribbling past about 5 players. Looked good.

True, and I don't think Russ will against Huddersfield and the line up will remain the same as the last League game, but my guess is Brooks probably needs to play, I suspect it may be a condition of the loan with the Euros coming up (just a guess but otherwise he could have remained at Bournemouth) and I don't think you can drop AA and Fraser right now, so unless he slots into one of the midfielder positions like Stu's or Will's I can't see anyone else but Che dropping out. Maybe not against Huddersfield but soon. Just speculation but still...
-
Huddersfield had a confidence boosting win last time out but it was against Wednesday who are shite. My only change from our last league game would perhaps be Brooks for Che - Brooks wants first team football before the Euros which is why he joined us so perhaps that was a condition of us getting him. This is a game we need to win to get auto promotion and I can’t see why the unbeaten run can’t go on yet. 3-1 Saints.

Klopp will want to win the cup in the year he leaves, so I think they’ll name a strong side. That said, how sweet it would be to beat them and see his angry toothy grimace. That said, I don’t think it will happen, but it’s a good test to see where we are, how our style and personnel do against the big boys and how far we’ve come from last season’s shambles. Our last result against them was 4-4 with Sulemana getting a double and we’re arguably a better, tighter unit now so we can dream…

The Really, Really, Really Milking a Joke about Brooks being Cup Tied Thread
SNSUN replied to Turkish's topic in The Saints
I'm looking forward to seeing what he can do against Liverpool.
