We have nothing in midfield. Nothing to link between defence and attack. We signed two CMs and one is at CB after we lost our entire compliment or CMs in the summer (bar Willy). Madness.

Piroe scores again. While I hope Stewart is the better choice long term, I do wish we'd signed Piroe. However in the current team I think even Piroe would have struggled to make an impact as quickly as he has.

He was decent against Wednesday but he has regressed in a very short space of time and that is why he should be nothing more than a back up. Charly showed he was the better player when he came on and even Stu was a big improvement. Keep Will for back up or games when we are expected to have a lot of the ball (eg. Wednesday) and play the likes of Downes, Charles, Charly and Stu over him. Hell after that performance last night I'd rather even see what Aribo could do instead! And then there's Kamari Doyle... The midfield is still new and it was always going to be the issue for us in the early part of the season as we lost JWP, Lavia and even Diallo but they need to get their shit together quickly. As does Martin.

I'm not Martin Out yet, but 9 goals conceded in 2 games at this level is fucking pathetic with 1 goal to show for it and he needs to sort it out fast. Pinning all our defensive hopes on signing THB is not going to solve things - it requires coaching. Martin was a bloody defender so god knows how he has us so open at the back!

I switched off 5 minutes before the end as I had to go to work so I only just found out Sulemana got sent off. That put a shitter on a shit performance. This is going to be a looooong season. After the dust has settled from the aftermath of the transfer window it's clear to see we are still CB and DM short. Yes I know we have injuries at CB but when your replacement in Holgate who was fricking useless a fortnight ago, or Charles who should really be in DM, it really doesn't look good. For all the good work rate including defensively, AA was poor in an attacking sense today. He's nippy and he works hard but little else, the Shane Long of the current squad. Adams got little service but got the assist, Edozie was unlucky to get the knock but was possibly our brightest player first half, Fraser also works hard and is quick but there was little else besides blind crosses to nobody. Downes was poor, Smallbone was poor, KWP was poor, Manning little more than average at best, THB had a rough debut and Charles did OK but isn't really a CB. Bazunu was one of the best players on the pitch for us. Good saves and distribution. My MOTM was either Baz, who kept the score down, or Edozie. Martin needs to sort this out FAST or we will find ourselves slipping down the league over the next few games.

This is hard to watch. Defensively crap. No defensive midfield. I still think we'll come good but my god we've had a couple of shit games that highlight where the issues are. It is now on Martin to earn his money and sort it out.
