Not jealous at all. It seems that too many people think that he has to be a good player just because he cost £18m. What I can't understand is why Porto sold him. He only signed for them in July and he had 4½ years left on his contract. They made a couple of million out of it. But of the 20 league games in the Portuguese league, he has not been in the squad for 7 games and on the bench for 3 more. He has played 607 league minutes, no goals and 1 assist. Anyway, time will tell and good luck to Stoke.

I don't think that it is rocket science, and most clubs seem to know about the same players. It's just whether they (the clubs) are prepared to go for the player and whether the club fits how the player sees his future. Let's face it, if it comes down to Liverpool, Spurs and us, most players are likely to go to those clubs in that order. Of course there is personal circumstances that come into play (maybe Austin and his Mrs being southerners) as well as whether they will actually get game time.

Maybe Sam Byram as well. Anything in the £3-4m range is seen as chump change these days. Oh how times have moved on!!

LOL - how on earth can you tell how old I am? You may well be, but am impressed by your psychic powers. I know Twitter isn't scary, Ihave an account, but that rather misses the point. But I'm not upset about an email reaching me 2 days later, which again misses the point. Guess my standards about what customer service should be, are somewhat higher than yours. That's fine if you want to accept poor service, that's your wont. Probably best that way as you'll probably be rarely disappointed. As I say, no big deal.

Although I was aware of the potential for change, I neither do twitter nor facebook, nor do many other people. I think I actually signed up for notification by email. All I pointed out was that the email should have gone out straight away thus allowing some who might not have been aware, an extra day and a half to make arrangements. It's called customer service. I do realise that that is virtually non-existent in this country these days, and that when people like you cannot see why the email should have gone out at the same time as the other mediums used, as opposed 2 days later, it possibly shows why **** poor service is so prevalent these days.

I turned Sky Go on on my PC at work and had TDD in the back ground. Had to turn it off - what a load of ball cocks trying to make excitement out of nothing.

I think it might be an age thing. As one of those who was watching Saints many years before Sky and the PL came into existence, I can say that I enjoyed my trips to the Dell just as much as I do these days. I really wouldn't mind the whole of football having less TV money, which would mean lower wages to players. It might happen if Sky can't meet their obligations.
