Very tidy goal that one.

I look at another player in demand and the way that he and his club are treating it. Somewhat different from us and Vic/Sadio/et al. Not that I like it (apart from it happening to Wet Spam), are the noises coming from Payet's agent. He is 8 months through a 5 year contract and already making noises that he should be on twice what he is on and has started negotiations on changing it. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/35531360 And really, the statement that they released (http://www.whufc.com/News/Articles/2016/February/9-February/West-Ham-United-Statement) would tend to suggest otherwise. How many clubs/businesses would look to change the terms of a contract 8 months into a 5 year one??

At what point would you walk out of a Saints game?

Very impressive. I only managed to get to the 5th goal before leaving, but then my hide might not be as thick as yours as I've only supported Saints for 40 years. -
Presumably the club think that there is no chance of it being over turned. Presume everyone knows what the chances are. Who knows, maybe they sought unofficial advice as to the merits of it and were told to forget it.

Any idea (sorry if already asked) why it is not being contested?

Quite amusing reading when the boot is on the other foot. http://www.thefightingcock.co.uk/forum/threads/mauricio-pochettino.8930/page-333

Earliest I have ever walked out was this season @ 1-5. Think it was on 79 minutes. -
As has been brought up, you can't really compare seasons like for like, as other clubs have changed as well. If they had all stood still, then the variables wouldn't be there and you could, but they haven't and you can't.

I had a couple sitting in front of me for the Cup game with a SFC/Palace half & half scarf, with the Eagle staring me in the face. One end would keep on falling off his shoulder and he would constantly be flicking it back over his shoulder. It annoyed me intensely, and then I asked myself why, and I couldn't come up with a mature reason. And if I took in a Barca/Real game, I think the Mrs might divorce me presuming I was in Spain with her!! Might be worth planning that!

Thought that was what they were singing, or rather along those lines. I can never hear properly which is fine. But singing about Payet, well, looking how he performed, I thought it was a little misplaced. But anything is better than "You're ****ing shiit"

I don't think playing 3-5-2 is overly defensive, because it is very fluid. Others might call it 5-3-2. In reality it is a 4-4-2 as when one of the wing backs goes forward, the wing back on the other side drops back in beside the 3 CBs. When the opposition attack, then both can fall back into a back 5. I like it. It gives a solid defensive line, while bolstering the midfield and allowing 2 to be up front.

Incorrect. The FA in their document entitled "Respect" clearly state..... - Only the captain can openly ask for clarification of a referee's decision. The includes the period before, during and after a match. - If any other player challenges the referee, asks questions or harasses the referee about decisions made, they should first be give a public warning. This is providing a player has not committed an offence which clearly falls under Law 12 - If a player, inc the captain, openly harasses or challenges the referee, they should be cautioned and shown a yellow card. etc etc etc I feel that this document is aimed at amateurs really, but the rules are the same for all, regardless of how big your club is. The problem I see is that the big clubs (professional ones) seem to run roughshod over this, and therefore it is too often not pulled up. Anyway, Law 12 (for the 2015-16 season) states.... So hassling Clattenburg is not being professional in taking an opportunity, it is flagrantly breaking Law 12 and Clattenburg was too weak to do anything about it. You might split hairs by saying that they aren't arguing his decision, but I wouldn't agree with that.

If I don't take out life insurance, does that mean I won't die?

You can put your wall where ever you want to (so long as it isn't within 10 yards of the ball)so can't see how that is an advantage, or were you meaning that the kick came so close to the goal, that it couldn't get up and down?
-
FIFA in their wisdom scrapped the 10 yard rule in 2005. While it wasn't used as much as it could or should have been, why they scrapped it I never understood. It works in rugby, and it would cut nonsense out from players with only the captain being able to speak to the ref. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/4637805.stm gives the reason which is pretty pathetic really.

Money is there, but if you want to be picked for your country, then I suspect China will kill that.

Can we PAY Arsenal/Tottenham to take Wanyama away from us?

Afraid to say that I have to agree. Missing potentially 1/3rd of the season through discipline is just not something you can afford to carry. -

Oh sure, it was our fault!! And also for the two other times he was sent off. And for ****ing up in the Europa League while agitating for a move. Yup, all our fault. -

He's already done that once this season! -

Wasn't that a case of either a penalty or a yellow card? Giving nothing was the worst decision of all. -
Chez - apathy? Possibly, but the problem is that there is a near captive audience. If a supermarket puts prices up too much, you go to another one. If a football club does, then you either suck it up or give it up. There's no going to a competitor.

Not sure you are right there, or are you (it's late and I have celebrated our win)? Don't PL rules state 3k or 10% which ever is less has to be away allocation? So the allocation for away supporters as Old Trafford is pretty much the same as what we give Man Utd so they would only lose out if the ticket prices were vastly different, rather than basing things on the number of tickets available being any differnet. Using Utd again, are away tickets differently priced from others in the stadium? As for West Ham, they have no excuses. They promote this £299 season ticket in a "look at us, we can do a Bundesliga" type thing (although for adults the minimum is £499). All I see that they are doing, while not wanting to help away supporters, is trying to fill the stadium at the cost of the club half a mile away which I fully expect to go out of business within a decade, or is the compensation deal really that good?

Do you think it would have been better to swap Bertrand and Yoshida around today?
