  1. Are we having a mini-meltdown? Good to see Mane, Pelle and Tadic all on together. All 3 currently at their best
  2. good to change. nice to see it happen now rather than at 60 mins
  3. http://www.eplsite.com/
  4. Should have scored.
  5. I would just take the train. Much easier. Agree that the roadworks on the spur road are a ***** in rush hour (but not bad out of it provided there is no crash). From Basingstoke, I would personally go past the end of M27, up the hill on the A31, past the Esso and take the Stoney Cross turning to Emery Down and Lyndhurst. 3 miles to the A35 on small roads but it cuts out the one way bit of Lyndhurst. Depending on what stage the roadworks are at at Hinton by the Cat & Fiddle, you might meet a queue there. Haven't been past for a few days (and don't love you enough to go and look) but it shouldn't be too bad. Then it's the rather tedious Barrack Road. After crossing the River Stour, I would then head up to Pokesdown rather than going past the hospital on to the A338, but then in all honesty I'm not sure what parking is like.

  7. It's the BBC and they have more quotas than you and I might thing possibly could exist. I rest my case.
  8. Oh come off it. It's the BBC and they have quotas to fill.
  9. At this rate, Pelle having a good Euro is crazy. He might not even get on the pitch.
  10. In his defence, it should be remembered that he was chairman of the PFA
  11. Don't bother listening to him or reading his rubbish. His team of the week is something I expect my 10 year old could do having watched match of the day. He goes on far too much about the lack of black managers which I find slightly risible as he has never bothered trying to manage, but choosing punditry instead.
  12. I agree, but will pick you up on one thing if I might be pedantic (or not, as it is relevant). You called him a linesman - they aren't and haven't been since 1996. They are assistant referees who of course are there to assist the referee rather than just run the line. With that in mind, the flagging should surely not be over ridden so easily.
  13. With the Wanyama stories to Arsenal still running, maybe it would be part of a deal.
  14. hahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha
  15. Think his biggest problem at the moment is the form that Long is in, and what he offers. Coupled to that the system we play has changed and GP seems to be part of Plan B.
  16. There were some poor decisions yesterday. But that seems to have become the norm now and to be expected, and as there were fewer or less blatant ones than there often are in games, it seems to have been accepted as an OK performance without need for much discussion. The foul before the 1st goal and Atkinson over ruling it....well, that was just plain wrong. I wonder if he had read that article about which refs favour/"hate" clubs, and given that he favoured us more than others, he felt the need to not be overly generous (nb I'm not being serious!)
  17. 40 years of going to games, and not sure I have seen that before. There was of course the famous Sheffield Utd?? Vs Arsenal when one of them scored in a cup game and they agreed a replay. Got the feeling that the other Chelsea players were a little disapproving
  18. Wonder if the deal we have with Boro over Gaston pays more if they get promoted.
  19. Me, I was born in Boscombe when it was still part of Hampshire and as such, with one notable exception, I always want Hampshire clubs (or those on the coast) to do well, even if they are now in Dorset. I also broaden that a bit, still with that one exception, and want all southern clubs to do well as the focus on football is too much on London and the "north west". As a nipper, I used to be taken on the odd occasion to Dean Court when Saints weren't playing, and I think many people in my neck of the woods (say half way between Bmouth and Soton) did that. Or am I the only one? I suspect those living the other side of Soton, didn't visit Pompey when Saints weren't playing!!!!! What I found amusing from your article is that the lady was accused of being a glory hunter for supporting Saints!!! We all have our reasons - mine is down to a family connection with the club - but chasing glory can hardly be considered one of them, even if we are a bigger club than Bournemouth. As for being a derby or not, of course it is given the proximity. But the rivalry isn't there and it is largely banter between the supporters that suggest that there is any rivalry. After the game at SMS, I took the train back to Brockenhurst and because the rail network was up the spout, had to jump on the Bmouth only train which they had had to add a stop at Brock to relieve the back log at Soton. The B'mouth lads (I think mostly from X'church) were more than pleasant and we had a great chat. Even with them all boozed up, there was no sense of aggressive rivalry. There were no problems with the 2 sets of fans mingling (save for one chav on the platform mouthing off). With a "true" derby, opposing fans cannot mingle save with the possible exception of the Liverpool one.
  20. Oooops. Midgets have taken the lead at OT.
  21. You could add VVD to that list and maybe also Font, Wanyama, JRod and maybe Mané as well.
  22. I know!!!
  23. It's actually quite amusing how he is speaking like he is part of the team. Let's face it, he did 90 minutes in the 4th round of the FA Cup when they drew 0-0 with WHU, but wasn't in the squad for the replay. In fact that game on 30th Jan was the last time he played. Transfermrkt says in the PL he had 2 minutes vs Arsenal and a minute each vs Man U and Norwich (which excludes ET) and that's it.. Since then (the 23rd of Jan) he wasn't in the squad for the PL games vs LCFC or SAFC and was on the bench for AVFC.
  24. Or maybe BT sport wanted to get a manager from the PL, who you would consider to be qualified to give his opinion, who has also played for Barcelona. I guess that they could have gone for Sparky but Soton is closer to London than Stoke. But so what if he wants to move on to a bigger club - what's wrong with that? I found the bit about dicking around when we have a game on Saturday to be a really pathetic attempt at trolling, but guess to be expected.
  25. http://www.tribalfootball.com/articles/liverpool-can-win-league-cup-if-they-bring-southampton-form-to-wembley-suggests-caulker-4118464?utm_source%3Dmoreover%26utm_medium%3Drss-feed%26utm_campaign%3DFeed-Latest%2BArticles I found this and the irony faintly amusing.
